Dude, GSPP4PCHAMP, I don't usually comment to people being disrespectful, but this is like the 10th gsp video i've seen you rant in. If you're really a GSP fan, then take a lesson from him. He's always respectful, always dignified, and always kind. If you're truly a fan of him, and not just the way he fights, then stop projecting your irrational hatred on people simply because they disagree with you. He has beaten MANY top opponents: Matt Hughes, Renzo Gracie, Rodrigo Gracie, Takanori Gomi, Sean Sherk, Caol Uno and GSP himself, which by the way Penn should have won, it was a dodgey decision and that was when Penn was in poor shape and less motivated. Now he is in shape and motivated, he will beat GSP! You are forgetting, GSP has not fought anyone at the level of BJ's ground skills, and BJ has superior boxing! I'm afraid your Holywood boy is in for quite a shock!

GSP has rocked Hughes and Sherk WAY harder than BJ. As for the "dodgey decision", thats subjective, a win is a win. I've watched the fight many times, and although it was very close, I think the decision was the right one. As for the Ground skills thing, it doesn't really matter. GSP's got some of the best BJJ and wrestling in all of MMA, PERIOD....

As a matter of fact I would have said that, and it's a testament to his natural ability, his whole career has been! BJ Penn has earned a reputation, whether you like it or not, as p4p one of the best fighters ever and he has done that whilst not being in the best shape or condition. He earned most of his wins not by being in better shape or training harder, but by simply being a natural fighter. Now he is taking training and diet seriously, I don't see many fighters beating him, including gsp!

I can see what you are saying, but I think there is always a fine line in this sport between disrespect and entertainment i.e. selling a fight. I think the true measure of respect is how one is prepared for the fight and how they treat their opponent in the cage, and certainly for the Sherk fight, bj showed the utmost respect both in preparation and performance.

As for the second part, I am starting to worry about this myself after his poor performance against GSP III. I fear you may be right

I'm watching the dvd right now and at the end of round 3 when he tko's sherk he first licks the blood off both his gloves and then runs back to sean wipes blood off of his face and licks his hand. at the end of the stevenson fight he goes to his corner and gives him a hug....there was bad blood between penn and sherk and thats why he licks his blood at the end...

Yes, I was talking about the first fight. But you're right, the second was a complete blowout, only an idiot would argue otherwise. As much as I'm not a fan of GSP, I'll be the first to admit he was incredible that night, and grease scandal aside, there was only ever going to be one winner that night, he was just too much for BJ. I'm not quite sure what was up with BJ to be honest, I expected a lot more. But no complaints, the better man won.
