In the original constitution, women could NOT vote and blacks were 2/3 of a person. AMENDMENTS to the constitution provided for equal rights. Not the original constitution. Amendments come from the entire country seeing a need for change,

I don't think he could ever win as an independent. He needs mainstream voter support which will depend on how well he can get his message out, and how well it caries with moderates.
Unfortunately a majority of voters choose there candidate based on news media, including TV and newspapers. That is why it is so important to get the message out in person. Talk to your friends and neighbors. If we allow the mainstream media to dictate the debate we will never achieve our goals.

You know it really saddens me where politics has gone to today. During the singing of My Country Tis of Thee I couldn't help but think that this song does not represent America anymore. It's a little depressing. I hope to god that people wake up and nominate Ron Paul and push aside all the petty bullshit thats going on in the campaigns and media.
