If you were by chance hiking and stumbled across on of these can you shoot it because you feel threatened? I know its kind of a dumb question but man i would totally be on guard had I seen one above me.
Very cool & unique footage. Unique for us cause if we see one on our S.Tx lease we put'em in the cross hairs cause we don't have dogs or tall trees. My dad spotted a big one 3 yrs ago in broad day light while on the ATV. Luckily he did not move & it disappeared into the S.Tx mesquite brush.
@trenton2468 We usually just take pictures and video them for awhile then we lead the dogs out and let the cats be. If we got a really big tom up a tree we might shoot it.

Do you need a permit to hut them ??? would they be classed as a game species ??or can you kill they as you like ??

after you get them in the tree what do you do with them?do you shoot them? or do you just call off the dogs and let them live?
