here's the thing i love the most about this movie that many may overlook, THE EDITING. A good Editor can make or brake a movie, especially certain scenes. So goes for a bad editor, he could have killed it with chopped up, unecessary or unskillful shit. But this one was well done to tell the story and perspective. And the cinematography was on point, it looks real. No special effects or very little of it and this is what a movie supposed to look and feel like.

I remember all of the shit that used to happen in LA COUNTY JAIL! the ciggaretts were 85 dollars a pack, a match or a light was 5 to 10 bucks and of course you would buy them from the guards, if you were in the holding barraks you could use a pencil and some toilet paper to light it from the outlet......don't try that at home little kids!!

made me cry. wonderful film. great screenplay. good soundtrack/score, realistic prison culture portrayal, except for the scene where Porter conspires w/wife on phone at visitation. Never could happen w/out punishment, but.....I know....movie. Val Kilmer was insanely perfect for this role. Didn't even know it was him till day after seeing this and couldn't get that character of John Smith out of my mind. Thanks for the upload, and to all who made this film happen. Peace.

being locked up with family on the outside hurts more than anything i have ever felt. and seeing this kind of shit really happen to people you get to start getting close to. brings up memories no one would ever want. i hope some day people learn that putting some one in jail does nothing but mess them up more.
