@TheLifeYouWant Just so you know he is Belarusian not Russian! Knowing English does not make you British. Not to mention that we have our own language LOL

It's so cute how he tries! =) lol I am also Russian, it's my first language and the words he's singing are definitely old Russian! He's such a doll! Love you, Сашка! ;)
@Allisa1983 He does! He really hasn't got any accent when he speaks in russian, he's just a little slow at times but it's even cute)) Well, I tried to count how many languages he knows and I failed. This guy's really smart and talented. Bless him)) Сашуля - просто милаха))))
lol. there's no reason why he wold NOT speak russian. his parents are (white)russian and in norway the're also quite a few people from earlier sowjet countries. :)
i find his english and french with no accent much more impressive, cause that's learned in school or something :D
@ananasdt7 "his parents are (white)russian" how dare you say something like that. This is extremely rude. With all respect, I don’t care how you say that in your native language, however, if you choose to write a comment in English please use correct forms; Belarus and Belarusian. Thank you.
Hay, actually I do not understand what the hell he sings, but it sounds cute and sad. But... Hey, I know he's belarussian, but did he sang in russian or belarussian? I do not speak one of those languages, gomenasai everyone... .__.
@cdhack1 Yes, I do live in Germany. I grew up in Russia, than moved to Germany and study now in the U.S.A. I did a mistake and apologized. That is not a reason to be so childish and rude. Come down kiddo! ;)

People, he IS singing in Russian, I'm only 15 and understand all the words from it (Russian being my mother language...). Though as #martpast1 has said it is poetic Russian.
@Yegor0578 that is poetic Russian. the song is old(19th century) and has some regional words and style. you can go to the country side in your country and ask old woman to sing. u 'll see that u cant understand some words.
@LiallisVladik its almost like to say: Americans and British are one people artificially.....200 years ago. or :Italians and Romanians are one people......, or Serbs and Horvat are one people.... or Chech and Slovak are one people.
@martpast1 East Slavs it is Russian, Belorussian, Ukrainians, the Western Slavs it is Czechs Slovaks Slovenes Poles, Southern Slavs it is Serbs Bulgarians Croats Macedonians Montenegrins Bosnians. All Slavs each other brothers and sisters as all left one small ancient tribe
@LiallisVladik ok. i saw on your channel mr.zhirinowskiy spoke.abhazians and georgians are one people. does russia want them be together or as separate countries?
@youneverleaveme: What the hell is a "real Norwegian"? Nationality is decided by citizenship. Ethnicity is decided by culture. In both aspects he most certainly is Norwegian. He's simply not Norwegian by descent but who really cares? He sees himself as Norwegian - why can't you? :/
He's originated from Belarus, but now live in the awesome country of Norway. he moved from Belarus to Nesodden in Akershus as a 4 your old boy, now he's 24 years old. he has been playing fiddle and piano since he was just 5 years old quite really.he mostly play peoplerock also known as negro spiritual. (not reacism)
@TheLaptop12 you know, we learn norwegian as a birth-language, which is very close to Swedish, Danish and slightly Icelandic. We start learning english at third grade, we start learning spanish, france OR german.
I dare myself to say i speak perfect english for a 14 year old.
Alexander was born in Belarus, where Russian is the main language, so it's not so wierd for him to speak, and even sing russian
@crazyginge1234 Haha. I can say that for half the population of America. E-mails that I receive with proper punctuation and spelling are few and far between.
Nikita Mihalkov sang this song in some movie if i'm not mistaken, it's such a typical russian folk song, it shows the cuteness of old russian language, very touching, and he's singing it pretty well, thanks Alex! ;))) btw, i'm kinda confused by reaction of this girl :S
