Yeah, it's pretty unlikely to be able to do a c2d, but one of the ways I got my Pentium M to go so fast was through a hardware modification. Just google "pentium-M pin mod" and it's the first result.

It MIGHT be possible to do a pin mod to make yours faster, but I wouldn't try it...

I've got my q6600 stable at 4ghz and for fun about a month ago my brother and I bought a maximus formula mother board and paired it with a35w single-core 775 celeron processor. We were able to overclock it from 1.8ghz to 5.3ghz. The thing ran at 38*c full load 24/7 on air at 3.2ghz, so it wasn't real hard because it didn't get hot.

what I was talking about I think toshiba or samsung started to introduce a 64gb hard drives in there laptops. That uses flash memory but anyone who's taken a bunch of photographs with one or made significant data transfers with one will know they get a little warm.

i got a old win 2000 at yard sale overclocked it a tiny bit it was running hot so i took a little model glue glued like 5 cpu fans to the orignal its loud but i can run crysis on a 8 year old computer

wow that's good, my computer is not nearly that old with a 3.4GHz P4 socket: 478 and i cannot play Cryis at medium settings (graphics suck so bad at low settings) or it could be my radeon x1300 but it has been over clocked over the factory over clock so i would think it would be able to take medium settings at least lol.

makes the processor operate at ahigher frequency than it was designed... so your intel 2ghz chip could be oc'd to 2.8ghz for example. allows you to run a cheaper chip faster... but in the end you spend a butt ton on cooling. and clock speed is not the end all be all of system performance. u can oc memory as well of course, grahpics cards too....
