Reason why these concepts never make the street (as well as why they all look similar and so sick) is simply cause imagine what would happen if they did....all these super looking cars would be all over the street, for under 50 g's putting out Actual supercar companies out of business like ferrari, lotus, lambo, etc.... The FTO is a much better car than the Eclipse ever was. We got the Eclipse instead because of Mitsubishi's ill fated alliance with Chrysler. Mitsubishi basically handed over most of the technology that went into Eagle, and Chrysler then took liberties and produced Eclipses under the Plymouth Laser name as well, but their biggest insult was suckering Mitsubishi into allowing them to sell their sacred flagship GTO (3000 GT) under the Dodge Stealth name. I'm glad Chrysler went down

This is the Concept RA. If you listen to the video you could learn something (2.2L Turbo Diesel engine, AWD). Now the chances of that RA coming out as is is very little.

Please Mitsu, keep it as 2.0 Turbo AWD, not the diesel shit. More HP please, 205 HP and 310 Torque, come on, this isn't a muscle POS.

@haroldthecuban Take some advice from another cuban. HP is NOTHING without torque. The only reason its diesel is because they are trying to emphasise the engineering they have done. the power from this car is more than a 300 HP car that is lighter than 3000 pounds. Diesel produces way more power than gas, why do you think trucks use them? this car weights around 2800lbs. 310 pound feet of torque is more than enough to cross 4.5 Sec 0-60. Stick with your gas, il take the faster 40 MPG diesel.

@haroldthecuban BMW is going the same way, and so is Audi. diesel. You have to think of alternative ways for gas now. And diesel can deliver twice as much miles per galon, and twice as much power. You'd be surprise. Do some research on the diesel converter method these car companies are coming up with. Hopefully you'll be a believer. If BMW and AUDI are going to take the risk, you know mitsu is gonna be there. Considering mitsu is usually the first to release anything new on the market.

Dude.. 300HP is not enough now a days... The way mitsu is thinking is, the 370Z has 350HP on their top model. Ok, now the next eclipse will weight 2800-3000 lbs. thats 300 less than the z and 500-800 less than the current model. Now add S-AWD to that monster torque and the turbo to keep up its pace, and you've got a 4.0 0-60 time, and god knows what the quarter mile can be. Not to mention, this was built for tuners. This style would shyt on other sports cars in its range. 45+MPG? Deep tone exhst
