  • Rush murdered everyone! Da best man.

  • ROCKING TO THE BOX IN 2012 SHOUT OUT TO RUSH KREW ......

  • I always came across THE best garage anthems on pirates: Freeze, Ice, etc...

I.e. MC RB's Smooth Operator (Which I proudly own in MP3)

  • anyong know what that tune is at 6:34?

  • who dislikes spiteful

  • Watch Gaffer, i see you son. He's right tho, the place used to be mash up, but dem av munee fi protect them commercial stations that nobody listened to. Since them lick down all the blocks in Holly St, Square and Nightingale, pirates are weak. Fuck the DTI.

  • DTI be rushing the rush, but them cyan win.

  • PLEASE can someone tell me what the track is that plays from 35 seconds to 38 seconds - I know it's a proper short part! Man I wish I hadn't chucked away all my pirate radio 90 minute recorded tapes from back in the day.....AGGHHHH!

  • DJ Hype @ 3.53

  • It's funny how the news report likes to make out the great lengths the station goes to stay on air is some kind of fun to the pirates and not because they've been persecuted by the authorities to the point that they have to go to those lengths. Also how often do you pick up the emergency services on FM, you just don't.

  • I dont believe this shit about it causing problems for emergency services its just the man pissed off that people have some freedom. They could of just had it so MW was official stations and FM was anyones.

  • keep going bro

  • who is that guy on the right at 5:28 loool?

  • oldskooooooool

  • yo! does anyone know if that old london map 19 seconds in, of the pirate broadcasting range is fairly accurate?

also, is there any way of finding the ranges of current stations? Long live pirate!

  • SHOWING THE CAMERA HES SMOKING A FAG.... LOVE IT

  • Anyone know the tune at 6.08?

  • underground music and pirate stations bring the people together on a positive vybe. abit like a movement, the goverment dont like the mass getting togther in big numbers united againest them, so they do anything they can to stop it to try and keep control and stop everything.

  • What the track at 1:33 thanks

  • rush,,,dream...kool wid a k....biggest youth movement since john lennon and bob marley spoke thier words of wisdom...i'll never forget the rave eara

  • so they moaned like fuck about a aerial on the block but then they let the bbc put a toyota on top of the block and blew it up ?????? wtf respect all pirates

  • Who's that @ 3.47 looks like.....? dan ?

  • i wish cities in the us had a larger pirate radio scene. there is literally nothing good on the radio besides little segments on college radio stations.

  • ID at 6.12 is Dj Tamsin & The Monk, A Better Place, Dj Trace Remix, Whitehouse Records

  • is that dj hype at 3:55?

  • this documentry was actually made in 1993

  • Brilliant.

  • 92.3 fm ahh i miss rush :)

  • could i get a track list of all the songs in this big up the rush hyper

  • Whats the hardcore track called with the "in hackney" sample in it. Read out by the news reporter? 1:31

  • Easy man. The track is by Dica & Ben Interlect - ''Cant Stop The Pirates''. It's up here on the Tube....or it was lol. Hey man, be great to see you on my new site - Google us - Tower Block Radio - cant post a link here Y.T. wont let me! But yea - Google us. Peace. Snow.

  • If only the hackney skyline still looked like that old school. Big up shabba d hype ron red ant rusha and all the e8/e9/e5 and n16 mandem

  • If you love Pirate Radio - why not join our friendly site - all the detail's can be found on our channel - click the username above - full detail's and site address - (which Youtube wont let me post here) - can be found there! Peace and thanks. Tower Block Radio - dedicated to UK Pirate Radio.

  • What they neglected to point out here with regards to pirate radio in the UK is that it defined the music/youth movement of the time, gave the banal mainstream cost-free motivation to finally start playing the music that people wanted to listen to and was one of the fundamental reasons the UK in particular was a place so many from EVERYWHERE came to the UK, loved the scene so much and fell in love with it.

Pirate radio made the UK an attractive place for the far flung youth of europe to go!

  • I miss the simplicity of the 90s

  • Well said, although I'm sure people said that about the 90s.

  • The 80s I mean.

  • haha sorry bout all my comments but have you read up on the "lengths radio pirates have taken to protect their stations"? some right funny shit. trapping pigs in lifts and smashing their cars in lol.

  • How can a fuckn government monopolise on electromagnetic waves? that makes no sense at all! i can't wait for the time to come when analog has been completely phased out both commercially and in the emergency services. when that happens the gov't will hopefully realise that policing pirates on analog is a waste of money and leave them alone lol.

  • Well said. 15 years on and I bet the police wish a few pirate radio stations was all they had to worry about in London now.

  • "unfortunately it's illegal".. yeah, only because the gov't made it so and are over-regulating it all. plus of course people are going to pirate. i've looked on Ofcom and Radio Society of Great Britain, and the steps you need to take to become a legal broadcaster are ridiculously over-regulated.

  • that is shabba, shabba was on weekend rush

  • wtf.....yeh they start saying that pirate radio stations fund drugs so they can legitimize arresting them...just for playing music for everyone.......keep doing what your doing all pirate junglists whatever!!

  • look at the studio 3.30 it looks like a store cubboard or something similar definatelty aint a flat

  • that'll be their studio not their broadcasting location maybe? general rule is never broadcast from the studio, otherwise if you get nicked, not only will u lose your transmitters, they'll take ur studio equip too.

  • dat aint shabbba! def hype doh!

  • that is shabba mate without a doubt he was

  • 3:55 is dj hype also sittin in there is shabba

  • At 3:46 the bloke in the blue hat looks well like shabba when he turns to the side! And yeah i thought that other bloke at 3:35 looked like hype aswel!

  • @29Hz Me too man, I have been after this one since 93!! It was one of my favourites back then. Used to get rinsed on Sweet FM out in Essex back then. Any ideas anyone??

  • snowmanbuxzzfm:

This was filmed during 1993 ('that' infamous raid happening in July), and first shown if I recall around Christmas 93 as part of the Arena Radio Night.

  • Do u ever notice that the dti like the old cunt speakin on the end of this clip always look like NONCE CASES & PEDOS. as for all this shit about bleedin in2 frequencies, its called SPROGGIN.most transmitters are crystal locked, that means they WONT sprog. those dti pedos are just bein awkward

  • a dont see why the police have to shut down these good radio stations if the basterds played good music we wouldent have to reali on our own pepoles to do it

  • mc shabba wi the blue cap 3.46 lol

  • lol yeah i clocked that as well!

  • Is that Marly Marl (Metalheadz) on the decks 4.8secs?

  • Respect to the pirates of London!

  • Check My page. This Is how I Promote Without Pirate Radio

  • The government isn't afraid of rave music or copyrights. They're worried that "we the people" might have a voice, a method of communicating without government censorship.

  • Great post. Anyone know the name of the tune that kicks in at 35 seconds?

  • Funny that the guy with the pink vest has his face obscured, but then they show his face in full in the final clip in part 2.

  • rush aint origin fm lol! bout 10 years between em:) differant parts of london, differant people and dj's
