This guy would make me shit myself. Some of these instructors are so strict and intense, they make people nervous before they even switch the engine on.

Honestly, me and my instructor just used to talk about women and beer on every lesson. It was totally chilled and really cool. When I fucked something up, he would literally say "dude you've totally fucked that up", but that was alright because that's how real people actually talk to each other.

I passed first time with 5 minors.

I listen to you on this video And it makes me feel glad I have left the profession. e.g if you are nervous about any manourevere you are not ready for your test. Complete rubbish And also talking about getting prescribed medicines before driving Is a big no no to anyone I know. I expect you are one of these people that makes pupils have 40 hours of lessons For no other reason than your own finances. From personal experiance people learn more after there test than before. whatever instructor.

I think his point is that if your nervous, its helps to know whats going to happen instead of sitting there thinking about all the unlikley bad things that can occur. when you know what is going to happen and you have prepared for it, its easier to calm your nerves and i think that is his point. Although i would agree sitting in driving test centre or 'DMV' is somewhat boring unless your there is to do something.(hell its boring even when your there to do something)

OK, Im a doctor. To feel nervous on a Driving test is perfectly normal. KNOW YOUR CAR, Have good spacial awareness. And if you make a mistake, never dwell on it. take a deep breath and move on, observing the enviroment around you. Remember, the examiner doesnt want to fail you. And your not awarded points for special driving, just penalised for unsafe driving. But most of all, Enjoy your drive. Keep both hands on the wheel and you should be grand. Good luck!
