The whole helmet thing was probably started by the helmet manufacturers. I have to agree with you Glen, if your just cruising around you probably won't need a helmet but if you were going downhill at speed then yea it might be a good idea to wear one. I've been skating for 26 years and i've never worn a helmet! Freedom of choice I say. Great video by the way and thanks for sharing. :o)

@boomshankha well f you have the money there are better boards out there like lush spookies or lanache plus the trucks on the mindless board are not verry good ! the board is a down hill board so therefor its verry stiff hardaly any flex

its a personal preferance. if im doing down hill then i where pads and a lid!!! the majority of this vid is flat land so i dont feell i need it ! do you where a helmet when you walk to the shops ?? or drive your car??? your just aslikely to hurt yourself doing those things as i am hurting myself on my longboard on the flat!!

@glenscott123456789 I wear a helmet whenever I ride my longboard, my personal preference is safety and also making sure other not so clever riders get the message. No I dont wear a helmet going to the shops unless I'm on my bike or board.I am far less at a risk of mashing my head off the floor walking as for a car?? Get a grip man, I already have a bunch of steel surrounding me. No helmet is a dangerous preference, and shows a lack of awareness, as does your unconsidered reply.

@oldfartslongboarding i am completely aware of the risks on not useing a lid! that is why i where one when doing down hill rideing and as for my unconsiderd reply well that was considederd for my own personal abilities and what im willing to risk by not wereing a lid ,i see you have a valid piont about whereing safty equiptment but im sure its not compulsery to use it and it is at your own discression if you chose to use it !

hey, a few questions, is there concave? is it smooth? and is it nice and easy to ride in the streets, and down hills? I am going to use it for travelling around the town so is it good for getting to places? thanks for your time

@howlerella there is a concave in the front of the board witch shallows out towards the back its good for rideing on roads and also down hill ... theres no kicktail so you cant get up curbs its quite smooth depends n what surface its on oh and its rediculusly fast ! :)

@howlerella yeah you can but all depens on how you have it set up ! you could have really tight trucks so that it wont turn much but you wont get speed wobbles on the hill or you can have it loose and carvey but then speed wobbles can come :) or in the middle with is just right for me :L but yeah its quite turny

whats the flex like on this board? how heavy are you and does it flex alot?

@JackC0le the flex it verry little im 11 stone and it only starts to flec when i shand onefooted in the middle so its quite stiff

@dazziedeathcoreexx hey i removed the video but if you want it that bad ill put it back on :) im 11 stone and its has verry little flex ! but yet enought flex to help with pumping the flex is verry little and speed wobbles only start to set in after 35 mps but with tight trucks im sure you can get past that
