  • In addition to Apple, I LOVE Lorraine Devon Wilke's voice!!

  • Feelin's Believin'!

  • SO FRICKEN AWOSOME!! CAN STOP LISTING TO IT! 1980'S COOL!!!!

  • And by the way, when I get home to the US, I am going to boot-up my Macintosh SE and play some Test Drive II, or maybe try and install my scsi-to-ethernet adapter. And when I go back to Japan, guess what is coming back to Japan with me? Yes, my Macintosh SE.

  • RIP Steve Jobs

  • RIP Steve Jobs

  • Has anyone got the lyrics for this?

    - sent from my MacBook Pro

  • He gives us the iPhone and the first tablet pc.

He changed the world and he changed the meaning of the word: "Phone".

    He's not a geek or a freak, he's a good of I.T!

    thank you steve! |

  • @DiePotties Tablet PCs were there before the iPad, but the iPad was definitely the first actual tablet PC people wanted to use and put a standard for other tablets and was also the first real commercially succesful tablet PC.

Apple also gave us our first real PC with a GUI (Xerox was first, I know, but Apple actually made it commercially succesful and stuff blablabla). :D I <3 Apple.

    - Sent from a MacBook Pro, thank you Steve Jobs!

  • @N3ppyZ u r gay

  • @DiePotties Saying that he did just those things is a VAST understatement. No, his biggest accomplishment was, along with Steve Wozniak, making computers in to everyday appliances, as friendly as the living room TV, yet able to do so much more. Before the Apple I, computers were either massive, unfriendly mainframes or simple hobby computers friendly only to hobbyists and useful to none. And the later Apple Lisa and Mac expanded upon the concept of user-friendliness with a GUI.

  • We can make nearly every app, we want......but the app, whose function will be resurection of Steve Jobs will be the hardest one :(........ Rest in piece Mr. Jobs.....

  • R.I.P. Steven Paul Jobs. 

  • R.I.P. Steve

  • RIP Steve Jobs. Apple will continue to lead the way and make you proud.

  • Great voice of Lorraine Devon Wilke!!

And--thank you, Steve Jobs, I am really going to miss your genius on this planet.

  • RIP Steve 

  • R.I.P Steeve Jobs

  • Rest in peace Steve

  • Rest in peace :(

  • RIP Steve Jobs

  • R.I.P. Steve Jobs.

  • At least they had color.

  • irene cara ripp off???

  • gots too see

  • Bye, Steve! We'll all miss you! ^_^

  • @FutureiMacuser I'm usually a complete asshole to Steve (you know for steeling all from Wozniak) but right now because he has cancer i think i will miss him to

  • I haven't seen such optimism since I finished school!

Just look at how proudly the Apple III is shown at 3.31.

  • This is my jam

  • Macintosh

  • Totally PWNED by COMPAQ though... John Cleese FTW

  • Like it was yesterday.

  • I miss you old Mac...and World Trade Center at 3:11

  • fail with a capital x...

  • love making easy money??? /watch?v=M1B3CuP7GpM

  • They were right all along. I only started using Macs full time 1994, about 10 years too late. But it was the best business decision I ever made!

  • 39 persons will burn in the hell.

    (no pc, yes macintosh)

  • @guiba300 fine then ill take windows with the games and more power and you can have your weak polished turd btw this vid is nice good job cleaning it up looks good i feel you pain with the vhs i hate converting vhs to dvd

  • Foreshadowing! Did anyone else see the At&t truck?

  • @2:03

    iPad!

  • Great job in restoration and digitizing, Alfred! Thanks a lot! I could imagine this was a time with much discussion within Apple and the Apple community, 'cause the Apple II and the Macintosh team had strong rivalries? Maybe this video should serve as a tool for showing "we are both: Apple II and Lisa+Mac". It's not by accident that they also produced a similar styled video "Apple II forever".

  • Watching on an iPad yeah xD

  • Apple is leading the mother fucking way!

  • The similar song is called "What a Feeling"

  • Man. I was going use "leading the way" as the slogan for my future computer company.

  • Gee, apple users were creepy in the 80s too

  • There is a song very similar to this, I just can't remember it. Anybody know what it is?

  • 2:34 apple soldier!!

  • Shared on MyAppleSpace com - thanks!

  • is steve jobs in this video somewhere?

  • Should i buy a mac ?

  • @Chubywarrior yes you should

  • @Alviniscute why ? what should i just buy a windows system ?

  • @Chubywarrior well i guess it is more of an opinion. if you want Windows, get Windows. if you want Mac, get Mac.

  • Apple = NO VIRUSES

    thumbs up if you agree

  • @globe199 Erm, that's not exactly true... So thumbs down sound good?

  • @protolink24 i've had an apple since 07, haven't gotten a virus since...

  • @globe199 Maybe you haven't, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

  • @protolink24 I never said they didn't exist. THEY ARE JUST IMPOSSIBLE TO GET.

  • @globe199 Riiight. So are STDs, right?

  • @protolink24 You are reading too much into my comment. When i wrote "NO VIRUSES" I simply meant it as you'd have to be a complete an utter numbskull, to manage to get a virus with an OS that hardly has any viruses... Compared to Windows that has like a gazillion ad ware, viruses, worms, etc... I stand by my statement. You can stand next to your Vista. Goodluck in your voyage!

  • @globe199 Thanks, I'm not an utter numbskull so I'll enjoy not getting any viruses on my Windows 7 and Ubuntu installs!

  • @protolink24 I never said you were a numbskull. I am saying that if you manage to get a virus using a mac, then you must purposely not understand the basic warnings that come when using a web-browswer.. Hey man I had windows for a decade and a half. I know what it is to have a windows... for the time being I only have this to say

    APPLE = NO VIRUS

    thumbs up if you agree!

  • I actually like that ad ;)

    Haha AT&T xD

  • Attention span was longer back then. It's about 2 minutes too long nowadays.

  • I can't believe that no one pointed out the similarity with the song 'what a feeling' from the movie flashdance. Not only the song actually, the whole aesthetic of the video is strikingly similar. Also the first line "First, there was nothing.."

  • LMAO at the dude carrying Apple's LISA computer to his office as if it were a modern day laptop.

  • this is my new wake up tone, ringtone, go to sleep music and most important of all the song that plays during my Apple ceremonies.

  • lol gay

  • @brblifecom no. Awesome

  • That was so bad, but it's still better than Microsoft's Vista song because this was in the 80's when it was ok. In 2008+, that sort of thing is not okay...

  • I think..... There was some computer company in this film. I can't quite remember which one, but I know it had a vegetable as a logo.

    Oh, right, it's Cucumber (C)

  • They should just run this ad for the iphone.

  • Comment removed

  • I like how they show off their "advanced" thru-hole boards with only basic transistors.

    Moore's law at its finest.

  • Groovy :P

Imagine someone putting this tune as their iPhone ringtone...

  • @iron2000 Doing that today. Why? Just to annoy Windows fanboi commentards. :) And frankly I like it, reminds me of when things were still occasionally fun int the world.

  • my first computer was the Apple II. all i did was play a text based game that you controlled a knight in a mission.

  • linux guy here... THIS IS EPIC! thanks 1980s.

  • Damn! OG as can be! Horrible at the same time!

  • That is just pathetic..

  • I do not particularly like Apple; but this commercial sure beats the Windows 95 commercial... and this is a over a decade before it!

  • @Gubru Hi G - actually, it was NOT a commercial. Not at all. This was just something they played at the Apple Authorized Dealer meeting -- the meeting when the Mac was announced. I was there -- we all LAUGHED when we saw the fellow holding the LISA system under his arm. It was just something that was 'fun' and a diversion between the product announcements.

  • 2:44 Look at the trucks. No wonder this commercial sucks.

  • What a feeling it is that I could listen to the many radio stations through the Tunein Radio App on my iPhone4. Thanks Apple for leading the way in modern technology

  • And then Windows stepped in.

  • RFLMAO

  • Reason enough to fire the CEO!

  • Oh man, they're called "Apple Computer" and they keep showing a *real apple*

    HOW CLEVER! /sarcasm

  • @CZroe It's not clever? What would be clever?

  • In its defense, it WAS the 80's.It was like that. And it was NOT a commercial. This actually makes me miss the 80's........

  • LOL THE SONG IS LIKE SOME 80'S PROPAGANDA!! GOSH I WANT THIS SONG SO BADLY...

  • ♪♫•*¨*•.¸¸❤ A♥W♥E♥S♥O♥M♥E ❤¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪ WHAT♡A♡FEELING ♪♫•*¨*•.¸¸❤ We♥Are♥Apple ❤¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪ Leading♡The♡Way ♪♫•*¨*•.¸¸❤

  • Shamelessly cheesy. So absurdly 80's it made my eyes water. And I love it.

  • They haven't changed in 25 years. They were trendy "laterally thinking" faggots then, and their trendy "laterally thinking" faggots now. The prices are still the same, while the cost of a nice PC has dropped from about 10k to about 1.5k, the price of a good apple has gone from about 4k to about 8k... What the fuck marketing strategy is that?

  • @lacerta999 That is bullshit. And you know it. a super Apple workstation isn't even that much. A home Mac is about $1200. I have three of them. I guess that makes me a trendy faggot. But at least I'm not a liar.

  • @ihatestupidsignups Go to Apples website and get a computer with a few tb's of HDD, 8gb of nice ram, a really nice GFX card, really nice CPU maybe 2 nice 24-27 inch screens + all peripherals.. And only $1200 you say? I ran that quote on Apples website and got (based on CPU) prices from 6k - 12k YEAH $12,000, the same 12k system built by yourself would be around 4k.. YEAH GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY =.= Face it, Apple's a fucking rip off if you want modern hardware.

  • @lacerta999 I BUILD computers, and you are full of shit, Machit component for component with an off the shelf Dell and see how "different' the prices are. I KNOW homebuilt is cheaper but the average person "IE not us" is not capable, And in the end you get to run windows. And nothing is worth that.

  • Haha 2:44 AT&T :D

  • Sexy secretary type offers up her booty at 1:06 . WHAT a feeling! (tingly in my special area)

  • Thumbs up if like me you love the part at 1.34 with the guy using 2 fingers on the mice !

  • @TheDixlexxik Don't you mean using two HANDS on the mouse? If so, yes, that *IS* fking hilarious.

But two FINGERS on a mouse is not exactly mock-worthy - I keep two fingers on my single button mice (and my no-button ones) for the sake of ergonomics (I reckon most Apple users do). The other finger is just resting. Unless I'm burning some ignoramus, in which case I post my replies with my middle finger - yeah, THAT'LL TEACH 'EM!

  • @locomotosoto yeah 2hands lol

  • Comment removed

  • This is from the Irene Cara "What A Feeling" era of the 80's...

  • WE ARE APPLE! LEEEEADING THE WORLD! APPLE!

  • WE ARE APPLE!!!! LEEEEEAAAAAADING THE WORLD!!!

  • annoying orange should pick this song as a theme.

  • even for the decade this ad is from, this is stupid..

  • Was this just as cheesy in 1984 or is it just hindsight?

  • Alissa <3

  • This couldn't be made any more cheesy if I smeared my laptop in stilton

  • Timmyboo, you mother fucker! I lasted 5 seconds on this piece of shit video before I turned it off. Jigoo to the rest of you poor freaks who clicked the link.

  • Apple commercials in 1980's - Black background, busy stuff and colors, pumping music with heavy beat

Apple commercials in 2000's - White background, minimalist stuff and colors, piano and/or acoustic guitar soft in background

  • incredible how marketing got so far in these days

  • lmfao! we are apple....leading the way hahaha

  • 2:04 the actual apple logo?

  • @Celru2 used to be...

  • brainwash-y,

  • Wow, am I late to this party...or maybe early:

Not sure if it's wise to admit but this slightly hysterical '80s-centric vocal (yes, an intentional nod to Irene Cara's "Flashdance" song) is mine and I have not seen or heard this video until it was sent to me today. Wow. The wonders of YouTube.

My good friend Steve (now @ MediaPDX) was the engineer, Levin/Many the producers; we were all 80's-alicious.

And I assure you, subsequent vocals since then have been calmer! :)

    Lorraine Devon Wilke

  • Oh, man...I haven't heard this in years! I was actually the recording engineer for this spot. We recorded the music and vocals at my studio (Juniper) in Burbank, and my old friend Lorraine is the singer.Too funny to see it again after all this time.

  • @MediaPDX Pic or lies :)

  • @MediaPDX I Love her voice!

  • 2:23 that dude is cheating!

  • BAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • In 20 years, people will be looking back at the iPhone commercials and laughing too.

"Why is a person recording themselves using a phone LOL."

  • anyone else notice at 2:44 at the AT&T truck... they've been planning the iphone a LOOOOOONG time

  • @markfaulken LOL!!! to me that was the thing that popped out the most.

  • I guess Apple still had a thing with AT&T back in the day. 3:44

  • WE ARE APPLE!

  • @mylios101 LEADING THE WAY!

  • @bolaristf WE ARE APPLE!

  • They should play this at their next keynote event..........jk that would be terrible. lol

  • I think this just scared the fanboy out of me.

  • Flashdance: Apple edition!

  • This should be Apple official theme song! Makes it Apple Nation Anthem!

  • 2:43 Even back then, AT&T and Apple had a relationship! ;)

  • @DetroitBORG LOL!

But I don't get it...this has been on here since 2007, but the gadget blogs are just now discovering it!

Heck, I saw it on YouTube a long time ago!

  • @DetroitBORG Hey! I'm one of your subscribers and I never thought I would see you somewhere like here! Oh wait, it's Apple. Lol

  • 3:39 Hitler approves!

  • I only liked the piece where the Apple was eaten!

  • My only thought: All those people are dead now.

  • I was part of the french apple sales team. We saw this video during a worldwide sales meeting at the Hilton in Honolulu.. everybody was singing in the amphitheater ... The corporate t-shirt was "pride in performance'. Was 26 years old. "insanely great" memories ;=)

  • I love this!!! :D

  • @ThePnFrank Sadly, I couldn't afford to keep replacing Macs, and my friend had similar issues with his MacBook, do a quick search on MacBook Issues - Not the only one who had MacBook issues here. I used to recommend nothing but a Mac, but lately... Just very disappointed. I rarely heard of anyone having an issue with a PowerBook, or a PowerMac, but Intel Macs? I hear em... Although I do like I can run WinXP on Intel Macs. But hey, if yours works still, consider yourself lucky :)

  • @ThePnFrank Any Mac earlier than my G4, NEVER a single issue. My Mac MIni - The CD-ROM went bad, replaced that, then the motherboard's sound jack went bad. My Mac Pro, issues with the video card. And then my Mac Book, had to send that thing in for motherboard issues with the SATA controller and overheating issues. My Mac G3 and earlier? Never a single issue. Best computers ever. 3 bad eggs in a row. I now have a Sony Vaio that was cheaper, has Blu-Ray, and Better in general, and a Home Built PC.

  • the apple lisa was sopposed to be portable!!!OMG[nice vid]

  • Dude, the song reminds me of What A Feeling by Flashdance. O_O

  • I wish Apple still built good computers :(

  • @2:13, the Macintosh team.

  • Someone back in the days could've easily mistaken this for a fruit advert. LOL

  • @1:43 that guy there would be holding an ipad 26 years later :)

  • 1:11 I just got an iRection youguys...

  • Amazing Quality job on the rendering of this video. Apple is awesome and so is flashdance lol

  • I <3 apple but this is fucking tacky

  • damn, i was born to late (1995)

    but great video Al

  • This song is fucking TORTURE!

Still love Apple though, glad i didn't have to sit through this back in the day.

  • Flashdance--What a Feelin was playing in the grocery store and I just suddenly started singing this, lol

  • necesito bajar esa cancion jajaa

  • I want this song! :')

  • @alegoschou No, you don't want this song. It has driven people to all forms of insanity. LOL!

  • @adiblasi i do to do have a mp3 or somthing it is so catchy

  • @alegoschou watch the movie Flashdance, you'll get the same feeling.

  • Why I do not see Steve Jobs here?

  • @beltsoff Because his boss fire him but in 1996 he returned

  • I love how the two clips at 2:40 show people just casually walking around with giant apple Lisa's like laptops.

  • @evanellis Evan, let me tell you something. When I saw this for the first time back in 1984, at the Apple Dealer meeting in Manhattan, when they launched the Macintosh, we all CRACKED UP in the audience when they showed the Lisa under the guys arm. We were like 'Yea, right...' That boat anchor was over 60 pounds!

  • so can we buy this on iTunes or what? :-)

  • Now I see why it took Apple 15 years to recover from this debacle.

  • wut.

The dude at 2:03 looks like Alfred a bit (Al in 1984) O_O

  • 3:11

    The Twin Towers.

  • @FutureiMacuser So? That was 1983.

  • Such an epic song...

  • they even forgot to change a lyric in here.

  • WE ARE APPLE

    LEADING THE WAY

  • i love apple and their products but this just made me lol!
