  • George sounds just like Robin Trower

  • Anyone can play "shred" w/ a Tele using the right amp settings & an ample amount of sustain. Jorge` there has his Fender amp set clean & spanky, & the effects are killing any sustain left- not even a compressor to help it. Rack or not, Tele or not, humbucker-equipped ESPs or not, a guitar is a guitar. The amp & FX/EQ you use will make or break a proper "shred" tone. Yngwie (or I) could take that Tele as is, run it through a 50wtt plexi w/ a DOD250 & natural reverb & presto= InstaShred w/ no rack.

  • george lynch im going to get even with you someday for stealing all my riffs and my licks

  • mm spongy and sugary texture.. total ear candy

  • Well George, Tele is a demanding beast, isn't it? You can't play it the way you play your other guitars plug into your refrigerator rack. But you didn't take this into consideration, did you? Your great fan

  • something about a fender amp and guitar. this is a nice jam. feelin good.

  • first time that i listened to the souls of we album i immediatley thought, how did he get that awesome reverb? now i understand. George lynch fucking rules!!

  • This is reminding me of Hendrix.

    A cleaner playing Hendrix.

  • There is only one George Lynch. He doesn't sound like anybody else and no one else sounds like him.

  • George is such an underrated player these days. I hope younger guitar players wake up and realize that he is one of the awesome guitarists of our day.

  • dunno why people gave you the thumbs down. probably blinded fan-boys. george is a gifted player with a unique touch and all, but i completely agree with you! he should also scale down on the effects...

  • Tap in, Brother! Tapping in... the vibe is SO there at Integratron! Wahoooooooooooooo!

  • i'm sorry but i can't take this guy seriously!!!!!!!!!!!

  • such an amazing tone, but he takes it nowhere. you put eric johnson in that room and he'd sing some killer song that just lit up the room. george is like total confusion and all flash, no music.

  • Oh, please. How can you even compare the two players? Not only that, Eric Johnson is a great player, but what is it with you guys putting him on a throne? I heard Eric himself say once that most of his contemporaries can play circles around him. He is a writer more than a shredder. He is humble and non critical of others. A lesson you might want to learn...

  • Good points.

  • @guitarthroat I love Eric Johnson (an awesome guitarist and G3 alumnus) but the first person I thought of was Jeff Beck. Think about it....

  • My fav of all time, his solos speak volumes.

  • Furious George at it again! Always count George to amaze us with new tones and sounds....

  • That's not what a Tele does.....he should be playing one of those pointy guitars with a locking nut..haha

  • no esp

  • There is a link on here that has the music he is recording to included and it's a very good song. This doesn't do it justice.

  • How does GL find these places? What an awesomely, eerie tone!

  • he finds them because he is open to finding them.

  • and definately its an incredibly haunting tone...

  • Check out his new album "Souls of W" - great songs and great guitar playing. Nice work Mr. Scary.

  • I loved that album too, mate.

  • how is it called?

  • What the solo I was talking about?

  • now i mean how the album is called

  • Amazing george!!
