not a lot strokes hardly invented anything new in terms of structure tone tempo whatever. I think they dont sound like the strokes because you can understand what the rifles are singing casablancas sounds very muffled but i suppose thats his style.

Awesome band. Tragic that they've broken apart lately. Not just for us fans, but yet another talented group of lads who have come along at a time when marketable emo and american wanky pop punk bands are on the ascendency instead of good old British rock.

This and their first album will remain the soundtrack to my time at uni. For that, I am thankful.
