  • i'm not a bowie fan but this song is great!

  • Come on guys, if there wasn't a dislike button on Bowie videos then why would anyone want to like Creed videos???

  • forget coldplay, forget blunt, forget ga ga, forget bieber, forget usher, bowie is the real thing

  • Man, that was out of sight

  • Oh Bowie<3

  • like neil young said, rock and roll will never die.

  • Happy birthday, Bowie!

  • @dextroxity19 - Are you trying to say that Mick Ronson isn't dead? Sadly you are wrong - he died of cancer in 1993 at the age of just 46. Feritsbum is quite correct in what he/she says and is far from being an idiot!

  • Wow, pure rock and roll

  • unreal. Bowie is such a god! I want to be David

  • Comment removed

Your dad knows his music. Top man.

  • @eoingaga

    Thats ok son. lol.

  • @BarakatLove — Good music is good music, it doesn't matter how young or old it is, or you are. You have good taste :-)

  • my 13 year old brother turned me on to this song. i was blown away

  • is this the old grey whistle test?

  • @FRMOutsideSpace

This was performed from the Old Grey Whistle Test. :)

  • beautiful to the ears and eyes

  • Rock was pure back then kiddies..

  • @ghostruner66 i wouldn't say pure, bowie had a cocaine addiction and was confused sexually....

  • @ballls508 yeah man,ur right.seems like is the sound was just..true,and pure.Like rock should be.I don't know,I could be wrong.

  • @ghostruner66 no you're totally right, this was the absolute best era for music

  • @ballls508 I'm a huge Mick Ronson fan.He played with the greats. He was on Elton John's, "Madman Across the Water", he worked with Ian Hunter and Mott The Hoople. One of my favorites,he recorded with a lot of great musicians. Loved his sound.

  • I was born in the wrong decade...

  • like if you went to the 11th floor to see if David Bowie was there.

  • Ah! what the fuck is he wearing! i want it all! That shit is amazing!

  • 39 years ago?....omg....

  • I'm 13, and all my friends think I'm weird for liking David Bowie, but this is such good music. This is real music. I love Bowie.

  • @BarakatLove - hey, when your friends mature.... they will realise that you were so cool so young - believe me, if they have taste they too will come to love Bowie! I've been listening to him for 40 years and will never tire!

  • you really can't beat 70's Bowie...

  • i just love my vinyl.

  • Hey, I just featured this song on my new music blog: iwantyoutolikethis . tumblr . com

  • Aburido y sin gracia.

  • @chungafrescor what the fuck do you know? you don't even speak the lingo

  • There's a dislike button for this? Why?

  • @OisirM for those 16 bitches....

  • Fred Weasley on lead vocal and rhythm guitar?

  • @cewurm the man in the yellow suit is mick ronson.

  • I love the way to sing of this song.

  • R.I.P. Mick Ronson, you are the man!

  • loooooove this song<3

  • No...this is Bowie's version of rock and roll...cool.

  • my mum says this sounds like mr. brightside! i cant see why, anyone else think so?

  • @MCmnbvgyuio Perhaps the only thing about "rock n' roll" that has "endured" is "confidence".

  • @MrFlaminroids What are you on about?

  • @MCmnbvgyuio I don't really think they sound similar, but I think I may hear what she's hearing. It's when he sings "And I'm phoning a cab, 'cause my stomach feels small..." it sounds kind of like "Now I'm falling asleep, and she's calling a cab..." in Mr. Brightside, right?

I actually think Of Montreal's "My British Tour Diary" is a more direct ripoff, though...

  • @CapraPesce i see what you mean but she says that it sounds like the intro of Mr. Brightside, not the lyrics. but it dosnt really matter anyway

  • Sorry the guy looks gay but the track sounds awesome!

  • one of my faves by him

  • bowie n ronson, what a fantastic combination-fkn brilliant song, surely 2 of the most creative and cool dudes ever to strap on a guitar..bring it on bitch !!!

  • i want that blue guitar right now

  • Only David Bowie can look natural with an electric blue 12 string acoustic!

  • from 0:08 to 0:12 he looks like he's in SLO MOTION.

  • Ziggy was born to rock, BORN TO ROCK AND ROLL!!!!!

  • It dont get better than this does it :)

  • yay lip syncing

  • @ironman276 it isn't, this video is just wrong. there is a better one on you tube.

  • @ironman276 it's not lip synced, the audio is just off time with the video, fool

  • Great fuckin' song!! Makes me wanna live life like its fuckin' disgusting everyday...

  • this is the guywhoe gav me the confidence 2 start singin 2 other people thanks david bowie :D xx <3

  • kick ass beat on a 12 string acoustic guitar ONLY as the main man can do it.

  • great song, watch bowie screw up the chords for the last pre chorus

  • SHOES.

    FUCK.

    SHOES.

Also, more tuning pegs than is conventional, no? I can't tell if they all have strings attached.

  • @RosieFreakish 12-string guitar.

  • the only words i can use to describe bowie are

    amazing, talented, fearless, sexy, badass

    and AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    oh and by the way

    nice shoes

  • best video ever

  • There could not have been a better ending to Life Aquatic than this song.

  • Mick Ronson very underrated as a guitarist.

  • @GonzoDuke sadly, yes...

  • @GonzoDuke The first time I heard moonage daydream I was like who the fuck is that guitarist?

  • The more I watch this the more out of sync it gets!!!! Rage!!

  • Honky dory great album

  • @121ziggystardust ....most underrrated british rock artist ever...do you remember "images" l.gnome, london boys etc...absolutely the most innotive artist in the history of english rock..joe strummer might come a close second....mick ronson, trevor bolder lived in HULL, n Bowie just useed to show up in between dates...amazing real;ly

  • @121ziggystardust

    ALL his albums are great

  • she's an old time ambassador...

  • Bowie was a real badass to a kick ass tune!

  • "It coulda bin me"!!

  • @jdodgshon i think it most definitely could not have been you

  • @sadduck28 you're a sad sad duck and your comments are just sad

  • @Meouwww just being truthful ,if it was that easy we'd all be megastar's and bowie would just be one of us

  • Those boots are awesome! Wish I had the entire outfit!

  • @akirunolife i'm sure you'd look a prize twat dressed like bowie, you've either got it or you aint ,my guess is you aint

  • Up on the eleventh floor Watch the cruisers below .....she's so swishy in her satin and tat.

  • Bowie's one of the absolute greatest artists ever. His voice has so many different qualities to it, it's amazing. His lyrics are pure genius, just artistry. Everything about this man is perfect or damn near to it.

  • queen makes david bowie look lame

  • @genocidepv my money say's david would win a fight with freddie

  • @sadduck28 Well that's because one of them is death and the other one is a pussy, i think its a draw.

  • @genocidepv Far from it

  • The fact that this was made when it was made puth all britopo into a new context. if they aint ripping off thr Breatles then they are ripping off this or they are prog rock or something like that.....

  • @Incudius Obviously because all the band was a group of genious, but if you want versatility in just a artist, no one can't match David Bowie's acomplishment, he was more as a influence because he play a lot more genres that queen, so, Queen is the Best band of rock, but not the best of experimental issues, so, sorry if i make you see something that you can't understand, KID

  • @riaru12 although it appears that english is not your first language there are a few notable errors in your comments such as "genius " "no one CAN match" "more of AN influence" "more diverse than Queen" "Queen were the best rock band" i think this is what you were trying to say ( i hope this helps) personally i prefer Bowie

  • @Incudius i have put your comments into the Google translator and it came up with fuckall ,what is it exactly that you are trying to say ?

  • This guy is WEIRD, but he can make a good song lol

  • THIS my friends is rock 'n roll...

  • @cpankonien here here

  • I fuckin love Bowie, he's been my idol since i was 13..i'm now 17 haha.

Totally 70's girl, wish i lived back then. I got the Joan Jett hair and style now haha. Dude add me...gotta love Ziggy Startdust

  • I wish I could see the Queen Bitch's bippity boppity hat... that would be cool

  • @teddywah stop reading lyrics written by retards and use your listening skill's , the correct term is " bibbly bobbly hat " a bobble hat was fashion item in britain the late sixties and in the early seventies ( the song was used on the closing credits for "the damned united" a film about Brian clough) although i'm not sure he was big in america/canada and you've probably never heard of him

  • @teddywah Hell yea!!!!!!!!

  • My all time fav - David Bowie tune.

  • Bowie is awesome I love his music!

  • he dresses weird but i dont really caree cuz im high rite now yeaahhh

  • @perfectPOISON59 Bowie is weird and BI so of course he dresses weird haha...

  • im so happy they put this in motorstorm >:D

  • I WANT HIS SHOES!!!

  • This song is on skate

  • He never wrote for the Velvet Underground.

Him and Ronson PRODUCED for LOU REED.

He wrote WITH iggy pop and he wrote All the Young Dudes and gave it to Mott the Hoople.

  • @ThePinkLloyd Spot on, and it was only recently that I found out that he actually offered "Drive In Saturday" as a follow up to All The Young Dudes and they turned it down. Would have been interesting to hear Hunter sing that one

  • I WANT THOSE BOOTS DX

  • @darkrobot12 how can you even compare that little girl with David Bowie?

    Totally unnecessary comment.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • lol

  • OMFNG!! THIS WAS ON VH1 WHEN HAD ACTUAL GOOD MUSIC!!

  • SHS David Bowie Is a lot better than Justin beiber thats for shure.Any person who uses computers to fix their voice can't sing thats why David bowie is better than Justin beiber he also sings better to.

  • @darkrobot12 Well that's becouse bowie is a musician who actually writes his music himself. He's also writen for The Velvet Underground and Iggy Pop among others. Bowie OWNS!

  • Clippy, sharp and more ham than a pork chop!

    Just great.

  • lol bibby bopity hat

  • I'm a gigantic Bowie fan, have been my whole life. I love this song, but I have to admit, he's kind of just doing Lou Reed here.

I think Diamond Dogs takes it a bit further.

    DC

  • @CroTube5000 yeah well evry singer/songwriter gets their inspiration from other pop/rock thats out there.Bowie is a great pop/rock songwriter ,better than Reed if you ask me.LouReed let junk fuck him up too much it def. messed with his songwriting instead of spurring it on'

  • @PAULOcbi

I like your discussion with CroTube5000, and must agree with you, all songs, tunes, recycled over the years, every major act, solo performer had too do this to get noticed, and by the way did,nt Bowie discover Lou Reed.?? Just a thought.

    All the best.

  • @pwcf5 yeah, tday record companies just want 'original' material, while forgetting how mant artists got their recording start or first hit with a 'cover' song. They forget that artists need nurturing .Not to mention most bands today lack the musicianship to even 'cover' a good song or write a great song. The fast buck still rules.

  • OH YEAH same guitar in Starman, love it!!

  • That looks like a blue twelve string guitar! Cool!

  • 5 STARS.!!!!!

    David is AMAZING!

    this is real rock!!!!

  • "She's so swishy in her satin and tat

    In her frock coat

    and bipperty-bopperty hat

Oh God, I could do better than that"

  • I like the live versions of all his songs better than the recorded versions. So much more passion, so much more joy.

  • theres an 80s grunge band called green river that covered this song, and i heard their version first. both versions are really kickass, i have to thank the genre of grunge for turning me onto david bowie with all the bowie covers that green river, nirvana, and alice in chains played.
