  • i think its lennon and harrison watching from the wings

    phil

  • @ThePhilhw Please read the video description and numerous comments below...it is NOT Lennon and Harrison.

  • I would give a testicle for Cropper's rosewood Tele. Maybe not one of my own, but still!

  • best instrumental ever made

  • Now that's what I call music!

  • As is, it's incredible. If the audio could be cleaned up this would be my absolute #1.

  • Pity about the sound quality---poor,but the music makes up for it

  • STAX - MOTOWN 3-0

  • Booker T Jones: Keys

    Steve Cropper: Guitar

    Duck Dunn: bass

    Al Jackson: Drums

  • The real treat is getting to see Al Jackson at his best.

  • Punk band THE CLASH did a cover of this song. Found on Black Market Clash CD. Thats how I found out about Booker T and the MGs

  • OMG,is all I can say....just a classic performance.

  • Well, this is the Original formation... Booker & Memphis Group!

  • Isn't that Harrison at 3:38/39?

A third behind the wall hard to identify

  • @CoyoteMan50 Those were the members of CCR. The info is in the video description.

  • @CoyoteMan50 It was the man on the grassy knoll from the JFK assassination

  • @bfnputz I remember him. He worked with Muldor and Skully

  • @CoyoteMan50

No,but i can see why you would think it

Harrison was in Bangladesh at the time setting up the concert

  • @CoyoteMan50 : The guy partially obscured by the wall is John Fogherty.

  • John Lennon at 1:56/7

  • THIS LOOKS LIKE ROY BUCHANAN PLAYING THE GUITAR WITH BOOKER T....SOMEONE CONFIRM OR NOT......TY BUT LOVE THIS

  • @smokeysgirl52 Looks like Steve Cropper on guitar, Donald Dunn on bass.

  • @smokeysgirl52 It's Cropper he finally turned hippie

  • Oh man, I wish I was there. Of course, it was fifteen years before I was born, but still

  • Awesome!!!!

  • @bze2nlz4 Guys, the people at 1:53 and on, are Creedence, the guy with the beard is Doug Clifford, the guy in the plaid shirt is John Fogarty, and the one with the glasses is Stu Cook.

  • @Ken4Pyro Yes, thanks...there was another comment below from 'RaynDeere' explaining the same, so I think I'm just going to go ahead and add that to the description :)

  • There is true musical joy happening at 1:04. The toe starts tapping, the head bobbing and you just wanna dance! Magic is what it is.

  • It was Lenon and Harrison. Watching from backstage.

    Nothing like live music

  • @CoyoteMan50 It was the members of Creedence. Please read the description under the video.

  • @CoyoteMan50 No, I think it was Bill Clinton and Al Gore, just before he invented the internet

  • @bfnputz lol! xD

  • @CoyoteMan50 Can you tell me in which minute were Lennon and Harrison?

CCR were from 0:24 to 0:30 Cliff (drummer) Cook (bass) and John Fogerty (guitar/singer)

Then from 1:53 to 1:17 Cliff - John Fogerty and Cook.

Then frm 3:36 to 3:38 Cliff - Cook and John Fogerty.

    Where are Lennon & Harrison?

  • @harfuch1 in the middle. Fast cuts and you can see them standing there. Only a few seconds.

  • According to other Posts not Lennon & Harrison.

They sure do look like them

  • @harfuch1 I think CoyoteMan50 is seriously confused. o_O

  • Booker T is a great composer of instrumentals. He should teach now.

  • amazing

  • The guy with the glasses is Stu Cook from Creedence Clearwater Revival the other guys in the close ups are also from CCR

  • Extraordinary, for some guys from the main attraction to take time to listen to the opening act? This must have been a great concert. Time Is Tight is one of the memorable sounds for me from the late Sixties.

  • @jimo591 That would be Doug Clifford, Stu Cook (glasses) and John Fogerty (in doorway) of Creedence Clearwater Revival. Booker T and the MGs opened for CCR on this tour, I believe

  • @RayNDeere We live and learn, many thanks for the info, much appriciated.

  • @RayNDeere Appreciated!

  • Just marvelous!

  • sensational guitar by Mr. Steve Cropper. thanks for this treasure!

  • Booker T is awesome but the next band is the best band in thw world Creedence Clearwater Revival
