@SuperDragonCreator they have more attacks on humans but thats more because they run into humans more often. if bull sharks were as common in waters where humans swim than we would probably see many more attacks because bull sharks, while smaller, are horrifically aggressive. (arguably the most aggressive animal alive) tigers eat anything they see without even thinking about it (not the smartest fish) whereas great whites are more intelligent and (relatively) docile. by shark standards anyway.

@Gencturk92 well, the book was based of some great white shark attacks that happened in the sixties. this is where peter benchley got the idea for the book. people had a fear of "man-eating" sharks wayyyyy before jaws and before we were born. i dont know how far, but it is an age-old fear of man. steven spielburg took this fear and the story and took man's fear of man-eating sharks to the films. something to fear instead of a guy with knives for a hand or a boogeyman. he took a fear that exists
