Grunden til at det kunne høres nogle steder i landet, og ikke i andre, skyldtes vejr situationen den dag. Der var ret vindstille og pga. der var lidt skyet den dag, virkede atmosfæren som et stort låg, hvor lydbølgerne ramte "låget" og blev reflekteret ned mod jorden igen. Lydbølger bevæger sig ikke direkte i én lige linje som mange tror, men oftest op/ned skiftevis i svingninger/perioder - derfor kunne enkelte f.eks. ikke høre det på Fyn, nogle på Sjælland, og enkelte omkring Malmö osv.
Vindretningen (selv om der ikke var meget vind) var i retning mod øst, så der var mere sandsynlighed for at høre/fornemme trykbølgerne/bragene i de syd og østlige landsdele, hvorimod få f.eks. hørte det i nordlig retning efter Skanderborg osv.
underligt at jeg ikke hørte et brag eller noget som helst den dag... har ellers hørt at man kunne høre det helt ovre i sverige, og jeg bor på sjælland

The only thing comparable to this, are accidents like the one in Enschede (Netherlands), and the Pepcon accident in Nevada (The States) - if we're talking about uncontrolled non-nuclear explosions in or near a densely populated area (not including nuke/TNT detonations in remote uninhabited areas), so you'll probably not find anything that goes more "BOOM!!!" than this.
I live about 32 km away, i remember the day it went off, because i was bringing out newspaper and heard it go boom.. Then i got home and saw it in the news :(

My first post was about the explosion itself, not the damage it did nor the fireman who died. And I said it was a joke, it's not like I'm gonna go and set a fireworks factory on fire just to see it explode I don't regret anything I've said so far. Fireworks factory accident... it is even fun to say. There is something about the beauty of fireworks plus the sheer volume and power of the explosives involved that combine to create an unsurpassed level of AWESOME!
Sympathy to the victims of this accident, but I know that God gives them a special place in heaven. Much like people trampled by elephants in a circus accident, or clowns in a tragically hilarious mini-clown car crash.

Grunden til at det kunne høres nogle steder i landet, og ikke i andre, skyldtes vejr situationen den dag. Der var ret vindstille og pga. der var lidt skyet den dag, virkede atmosfæren som et stort låg, hvor lydbølgerne ramte "låget" og blev reflekteret ned mod jorden igen. Lydbølger bevæger sig ikke direkte i én lige linje som mange tror, men oftest op/ned skiftevis i svingninger/perioder - derfor kunne enkelte f.eks. ikke høre det på Fyn, nogle på Sjælland, og enkelte omkring Malmö osv.

Vindretningen (selv om der ikke var meget vind) var i retning mod øst, så der var mere sandsynlighed for at høre/fornemme trykbølgerne/bragene i de syd og østlige landsdele, hvorimod få f.eks. hørte det i nordlig retning efter Skanderborg osv.

The only thing comparable to this, are accidents like the one in Enschede (Netherlands), and the Pepcon accident in Nevada (The States) - if we're talking about uncontrolled non-nuclear explosions in or near a densely populated area (not including nuke/TNT detonations in remote uninhabited areas), so you'll probably not find anything that goes more "BOOM!!!" than this.
