I'm a chick who grew up in the south eating pickled sausages. You can get smaller ones in a jar. I like to drink the vinegar. The heat stays at the back of your throat and a little on your lips. Next time you grocery, buy a pack of "hot links"--at the sausage. Cook like hotdogs. Very good(w/eggs) when fishing. I think if those that are afraid of them would just try one, they would like them. Great to eat during a football game. I took shots of the vinegar during the 98 Super Bowl. Yum!
