  • Great clip!

Laura looks like a little girl.

  • Look how cute Scott was!

They were all so young :-)

Its like looking at old photos of your family.

  • I think skeeze is another word for a prick or bastard. mabye?

  • dude its a soap opera things like that happen its not suppsoe to be like real life. there chemistry is out of this world.

  • I think Laura made a big mistake getting involved with Luke. After 25 years, he just caused her a lifetime of grief. We got Lucky and Lulu from them and gave these characters jobs, but in the real world, Laura should have put him away. This really makes me not like Luke Spencer.

  • Scott didn't know it was Luke who raped his wife, at that point.

  • oh.lol...but did luke went to jail at all?

  • Well, no he didn't actually. Scott didn't believe it was rape, he believed that Laura was having an affair. Then Luke and Laura took off for the summer. Laura reported the rape but didn't name Luke as the attacker.

  • lol wow...thanx:)

  • no charges were ever filed-Laura did not press charges

  • Scott was an ass! I never understood how Laura could b so calm around the man who raped her&how he could act like nothing ever happened. They used 2have some intense scenes back then. I dont think I was even born when these aired. I still watch GH but it's not as good. Was abortion legal back then? She said that it was legal if u pregnant as a result of rape. I dont mean 2b reppetive but I cant understand how one of the greatest love stories of all time (so goes the tale) could evole from rape.

  • That was some heavy Shit back then. Everyone was so freaked out. Then bail on your spouse when they need you most. Scott was always a skeez, and still is.

  • No, Scott was not a "skeez" (whatever that is). He went through all kinds of shit with Laura, only to be dumped for his wife's rapist. Nice.

  • Actually it was headwriter Pat Falken Smith. Gloria was a great director, and the production values, and overall look of the show. But, Pat Falken Smith wrote much of the dialogue and wrote the rape, and subsequent Luke and Laura relationship. The complexity and shades of grey....that was a staple of Pat Falken Smith writing.

  • But they pushed past it and moved on. Gloria Monty was a genius. And her work still lives on today with the two of them. She admitted that she felt something for him also and they called it a seduction. Back then they said they had to back peddal because of the postitive response to the forgiveness towards Luke. It was a big deal, but dealt with in another way, a positive way, so everyone wouldn't freak out forever. Genius.

  • I love the ambulance from the old opening-hate the new one!

  • Finally she blames him. Yells. I'm seeing this s/l for first time and everything i had scene Luke is mean and rude like he has a right and she is i don't know how to explain. Like it wasn't that big a deal.

  • That meaness and rudeness is all a big act of bravado on Luke's part, to protect himself from his deep love for Laura, while knowing he can't have her because she belongs to someone else. He was really totally devastated by the rape and what it did to Laura -- he couldn't believe that he hurt her like that, this angel that he loved so much. But I agree that he really does go back and forth between acting nasty and distant, and loving and vulnerable!

  • I totally agree-the story was very complex and well-acted and written back then-unlike today's shows

  • Things go back much further than LnL. Laura would do things as a teenager then deny them or forget, like the whole David Hamilton thing. She lied to herself the most and she was notorious for acting like nothing was wrong. Luke would yell at her to try to push her into admitting things and facing them. He faced everything. She would never face anything and he felt it would destroy even more than the rape.

  • The biggest thing she wouldn't face was how she felt about him and how she would not stay away from him. THAT was apparent before the rape happened.
