OMG this made me cry. I'm very close to saying goodbye to "Ralphie" - a big ol hairy guy that I fell in love with many years ago. He came from "the big house" (the local dog pound) and has been my constant companion for 13 years. Since then, I've added 4 other "throwaways." They're the bight spots in my life. People can be so cruel. But my animals love me just the way that I am. Thank you for posting & God bless you.

Where are you from?

For example,in Romania you cand adopt an animal at distance,meaning that you give the shelter some money(as much as you think the dog or the cat needs to survive) and the shelter feeds it,gives it a place to sleep and when you want you can visit it and even take it for a walk.

although my mom adopted my husky "Hunter" from a shelter when he was just some months old (so nearly just a puppy) it always makes me sad to see how many animals are in shelters and people go to breeders to buy a pet cause they think the pets there are better or have a better health than the ones in shelter. Hunter is a great family dog, my best friend, a kind of big brother to me and an agility-dog who won 7 competitions till now. I couldn`t think of anything better than this ^^ *cuddles him*

Great video. I am currently a student of veterinary medicine and have worked around clinics and shelters for a while now. When these poor things look into your eyes.....it's heartbreaking to know that you cannot always help. But when something is done, they find a home, you fix them, up it is so worth it. We had a bull dog come in with a tumor the size of my fist. After surgery the first thing she did was wag her tail and lick me. I can't think of a time that a thank you has ever meant so much.

I've volunteered to help at the Humane Society and it's just so heart-breaking to see a full house of poor animals being abused and kicked out of homes and on the streets.If their owners didn't want them than they could atleast consider handing them over instead of throwing them on the streets

I think nothing should be allowed to breed until there are no children and animals being abused or starving on the streets.

Some people have said even China's one-child policy is against people's rights, (wtf) but I seriously think that there should be a worldwide no-child policy until every child is no longer starving and/or abused. (And probebly longer, if we are going to make sure everyone has their basic need fulfilled we're going to have to lower the human population considerably.)

This video is really really great. And i do believe that people should adopt their pets and not buy them from pet stores or breeders. (no offence to people who breed dogs). I'd like to say, everytime you buy a pet another one dies. And its like people saying they prefer certain dogs & cats from pet stores instead of probally the same dogs & cats in shelters.

everyone needs to check out the animal rescue shelters before going to the pet store to buy a pet so many homeless babies at the shelter that if no one gives them a home they will be put to sleep more focus on spay and neuter programs needed it needs to be lower cost or free to those that can't afford it so this vicious cycle can be stopped
