England has regional accents aswell. If you listen to a person from Birmingham then listen to a person form London you can tell an immediate difference. Basically every city has there own accent. I live in St Annes which is right next to Blackpool and I have a different accent to people from there. Literally less than 1 mile away! England isn't just one accent (the cockney accent according to Americans).
