  • its public

  • it is a public lake.....its the maquoketa river derr

  • omg so many idiots who think its a private lake anyone can use it seriously ppl dont go dissin when u dont even know wht ur talkin about!!

  • Wow, so sorry for everyone in Delhi,.... I grew up in Dubuque, IA and we camped at Delhi every year - loved it there...I now live in California and am so sorry for all of you...

  • That brown/tan cabin that is floating down the river is mine. Kind of surreal to watch this video. Thanks to the videographer.

  • @TheFundinge

:( I'm sorry that this had to happen

  • is the lake gone now?

  • Wow. I am truly sorry for all the residents of that community who have lost theirs homes and had their lives changed so abruptly.

  • My family has been on Lake Delhi for over 60 years! FUCK YOU!!!! You are not one of us! Fucking losers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's people's hard work and dreams being destroyed and your loser friends and family think it's a joke- FUCK YOU!

  • The so called "clean energy" isn't without any risks eather...

  • Don't worry, your tax money has been earmarked to support crack whores and welfare cheats. Like you pay taxes anyway.

  • @mahammadabba don't be a dick about it. countless people lost there only home along with everything they had. now there living in motels wondering what comes next.

  • @bsmahoney I was being sarcastic to a dick that doesn't want 'his' tax money to rebuild the dam, one of thousands built with tax money. How about a 1% tax for the rebuilding of the dam, to be misused by the elected criminals like the Cedar Rapids/Marion fake tax some got suckered into voting for? I don't know of one penny going to flood relief.

  • @mahammadabba - mean but LOL!!!

"crack whores" - that phrase always gets a rise out of me!

  • why should our tax dollors pay to fix the dam it is not a public lake.

  • @79abg you do realize the dam is still intact right? the road/bank on the south end is what gave out.

  • @79abg Really? My family has also been on Lake Delhi for more than 70 years and they have paid their fair share of taxes and dues to maintain the dam over the years. Do you not get that there are hundreds of people and families that lost everything. Not just "vacation" homes, but their livelyhood. People like you astound me. no compassion!

  • @79abg What you do have right is it is a private lake. What you don't have right it has public access. Get your facts straight. It also appears very clear to me that it's the county owned road that was the failure not the dam that has been paid for by only a few of the private citizens!

  • @79abg tax dollars aint payin for shit man i live 10 miles from here and that dam is owned by the people who lived in cabins on that lake.

  • @numnums32, anyone could use the lake free of charge, I thought people 'rented' the land their houses were on. I know someone who just built a $100,000 house on the lake, he just got a couple of inches of water in his basement.

Don't worry, your tax dollars will go wherever the elected criminals give it to, could you tell me where the last few $trillions of 'stimulus' money went? Mainly into the pockets of the elected criminals and their buddies.

  • thats what im saying.plus that dam ruined the crappies down below the dam. catch and releasing smallies back killed off the slab crappies let the river rubn natural now

  • @79abg anybody can go on this lake!!! I live on it so i think ik!

  • Sending prayers to everyone in this region. This is pretty bad.

  • Yeah, its bad
