Even assuming that this so-called Freudian slip reflects a secret truth known to Cheney, it can be readily demonstrated that a portion of this “slip” is false. The case against Osama bin Laden as the architect of 09/11 was clearly argued by the Bush Administration.
Even the more subjective portion of this statement, "we never made the case, " could have been interpreted by Dr. Freud as Cheney doubting the strength of the case.

What I heard, and what you would hear also if you were to think before reacting, is Cheney say from a early report that he wasn't making an argument that Bin Laden was directly responsible... not that he wasn't involved as you chose to hear it.
