  • oh my want to job such like hi! :)

  • i just picked up the complete gardener after sprouting my first herbs for a herb garden and have been completely inspired! i read it in three days in complete awe of this guys knowlage. Now its like i am face to face with someone i really respect, all with a few taps of the finger. god i love youtube

  • While i disagree with v6200man i don't understand why people take his opinion as such a slap in the face..

Monty left Gardeners World after suffering a stroke, not as LosAngeleno seems to think after dying. Sure some people didn't like his style in the same way some people don't like Toby Buckland and some people i'm sure didn't like Mr Titchmarsh either. So what? You can't please everybody all of the time.

I however like Monty and his clear love of what he does. He reminds me of my dad.

  • greetings from Greece!

Monty thank u for all the hard work, you are truly inspiring...

I wish all the best, get well soon.xxxx

  • Great series thanks for posting

  • He was best when he was the lead singer of Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark ;-).

  • hey ive read th Monty Don The complete Garderner..i love it..know i feel like i wanna be a part of the nature..i wanna start to plant some trees

  • Hey Monty, get well soon mate. You are so inspriring to me that we named our new bay son after you.

  • you inspired me to get outside into the garden!

    get well soon mate.

  • All of our family loved the programme and we are very sorry you have been unwell. Your time with gardeners world has been great viewing. If you did not know it before you can see from the comments that you have lots and lots of admirers. Get well and strong soon.

  • I only saw today on the news that Monty suffered a minor stroke. Get well soon Monty! You;re the only TV gardener I can stand to watch! best wishes for your recovery.

  • Get Well soon Monty. You have a lot of admirers. See here.

  • Such an interesting and inspirational series, thank you. These trips were also refreshing as I felt I was there in the gardens so thank you for travelling the world Monty Don.

  • I absolutely loved this series and hopefully there will be another one! Monty if you're reading this well done. I have always had an interest in gardening, and now after seeing this I'm going to persue a career in horticulture and landscape design. I'm throwing off the shackles and following what it is I really want to do.

  • Food gardens are becoming community necessity, hopefully lots pick up on this beautiful and interesting trend.

  • I have been gardening since I was twelve

now at the age of 45 I have just built a small classroom in the middle of my garedn to teach others how to garden and how to cook from the garden

I totally agree, I have always taught that gardens are an expression of the person

creative, functional, fancy or just plain grass. They always express the person.

    WEll done on the programme

no doubt there will be another

  • Monty is cool and laid back! A much better presenter than that annoying Titchmarsh.

  • Sorry but I disagree. The man waa far too OK ya and patronising with no horticultural background - rather a bankrupt fashion guru I gather - thoroughly irritating. I wish him well but I cannot share this enthusiasm for him.

  • What is it like being without a mind?

  • I wouldn't know chummy. Perhaps you can enlighten me??!!

  • @v6200man How disgraceful. With just a few choice words you destroy the man and all the effort he has put into his work. I hope you are happy with yourself! You impetuous vagabond!

  • I make no apologies for not liking the man. He was a bankrupt city fashion man who tried his luck at horticulture. I just find him irritating and patronising. Many viewers switched off from "Gardeners World" for the same reason - soon after a new team was put together. Need I say more

  • @v6200man My God! How can you have such disrespect for the deceased's family. See if you can gather up enough decency and compassion not to exhume the poor man and stone him with heavy rocks! Of all the humanity!....How incredibly cruel. Such venomous hatred!

  • I don't hate him - I just don't like his style of presentation and by the way - he had a minor stroke and he is still alive not dead - get your facts straight!! and don't be so hysterical - silly silly!!

  • sigh....he's`dramy too

  • This guy is brilliant. I loved the part about the floating gardens of Mexico and organic veg in the middle of Havana! Wonderful ideas! Perhaps we all should start growing our organic veg and transform this planet into a Garden of Eden:)))
