  • Sophia at the height of her extraordinary beauty

  • This was an exquisite movie. Beautifully done with great music.

  • @PCplays99 So true, sad that it has been forgotten, and so sad that no one has done a legit dvd of it.

  • Very nice. Watch my tribute. Enjoy.

  • è stupendo questo film.....

  • it is an ageless movie... to dream. This was a movie to find at a Sunday afternoon on Argentinean television... I bought the Italian version last week and I watched on a Sunday afternoon like in my childhood... a dear moment, the same feelings :)

  • @gaenberlin What a lovely post! I discovered it on a late night showing and found it stunning and beautiful. I too recently bought the Italian version, "C'era Una Volta", and enjoyed it, since I know Spanish, I was able to understand what they were saying at times, and visually the film is exquisite.

  • Did Sophia speak English in this? All of a sudden, I want to see this film!

  • @cupcake101 Yes, the movie was shot simultaneously in English and Italian, so two movies were actually made at the same time, one in English and one in Italian, I am sure there are subtle differences between the two versions.

  • @cupcake101 it is youtube in Italian. I don't know why I cannot copy the link, but then, just type in the search: C'era una volta (More Than A Miracle)

  • Selam alikum Omar, from Egyptian minority in albania,

  • Saw this movie as a child and was enchanted. LOVE the score...Especially Prince Rodrigo's Theme. Omar Shariff riding and laughing...those white teeth....ahhh.

Sophia at her most breathtaking....thank you for the sweet memory.

  • omar sheref he is hot

  • Why isn't it available on DVD? If it is, where can I get it.

  • @7Imnutubem I bought it in Amazon from a marketplace

  • @7Imnutubem it is youtube in Italian. I don't know why I cannot copy the link, but then, just type in the search: C'era una volta (More Than A Miracle)

  • OK @EzioMassa what does poche mean?

  • know how they call the songs of this movie? I do not know where to get them, thanks

  • I love this movie! I haven't watched it in over 24 years! I am dying to watch it with my daughter.

  • I love when her dishes break...heart breaking.LOL!

  • @CLARISSAVICTORIAN It is Sophia's great art that makes this story so rich with feeling, as when the first plates begin to mysteriously break, she wholeheartedly conveys her bewilderment and heartbreak, and the plates become mere symbols of her heartbreak.

  • This was an amazing film and underrated. I was just thinking about this film until I came across the vid! Many thanks for providing the original trailer and also creating a beautiful montage of this film.

  • Thanks for posting and for your kind comment. It is truly a lovely and underrated film

  • After two years of searching for this movie, I finally know the title. Great movie!!

  • Wonderful... Thank You!! boopkid

  • Its heartbreaking , that last shot as she had lost her baby in a miscarriage weeks earlier. you can see how vulnerable she is. This is her most beautiful role-in a canon of unparalleled beautiful screen appearances. This film and her beauty and acting capture a much more innocent time in the world and in cinema.

YOU REALLY KNOW YOUR SOPHIA FILMS!!

    WOW!

  • I love what you have written, I too knew of her miscarriage and I have to say her expression and tears as she runs from the palace, and the as you mentioned the ones at the end of the film came from somewhere deep within. Thanks!!

  • Sophia=True beaut , altho past 70 now she´s STILL stunnin / aye re. ´innocence ´. Alas were it possible to turn back time ...

  • wonderful movie. I understand it has not come out on DVD . I watched and recorded it from TCM but I really would love to have it on DVD. Great great movie. Sort of like a cinderella story...

  • k bello sto film e ke musike mamma mia...

  • Please, give me clues about sites where to watch the whole film, or the music or anything about this film. Thanks in advance.

  • You can get a so so print on dvd, try Ebay

  • Thank you, thank you so much for this. This has really been an undescriptible experience for me to hear, see, feel and live the moments gone so many years ago. I have played this tube at least 15 times the last two days. Mi wife and kids just watch me watching it. They understand that it is so special for me when they see the my tears. I just love this film. Thank you, thank you very much for this gift of time.

  • The pleasure is mine, to bring the memory of this beautiful and underrated film is rewarding to me, hopefully more people will want to see it and it might someday be released as a video. We are of kindred souls, because I too am very moved by it every time I see it, the music, the great actors, the magic of its story, all make it a very special movie.

  • THANK YOU! This movie , along with breath of scandal is one of Sophia's most sumptuous! THANK YOU!

  • I WANT TO SEE THIS FILM!!!

  • I WANT TO SEE THIS FILM !!!!!

  • I agree. I think one day it will surface. Keep the faith.

  • i really really love this film

  • Thank you so much for this montage. I forgot how lovely that theme song is- the string instruments alone give the melody a magical, fairy-tale aura. I used to hear this song as a kid years ago, not knowing it belonged to this film, so this is a mental reunion of sorts for me.

  • Glad you were able to match this beautiful music to the visuals through my little video. Thanks for posting.

  • I've only seen the film twice, well over 20 years ago. A true feast for the eyes and the ears! The Australian film presenter, Bill Collins, said back then that you couldn't buy the soundtrack, so I am absolutely delighted to have found it here. After reading all the comments, it should be shown regularly on the telly. Sophia and Omar were in their peak! Thanks so much Boopkid, I'll enjoy playing the theme often.

  • Glad you found it, and happy to hear from another fan of this movie. Turner Classic Movies, TCM, shows it at least once a year. Thanks!

  • This is a beautiful movie including music. It has always been one of my favorites. I purchased a CD several years ago for it, C'era una volta, which I think means, Once Upon A Time. The thing I find strange is that I have found that it doesn't always get listed in book and online. I saw it on TV many years ago. I think the movies should run it more often than it does. Wonderful movie a 10 category.

  • You can find private copies on the internet if you search high and low. It is a hugely underrated film, magical in so many ways... Thanks.

  • just BEAUTIFUL! I have seen this movie so many times! Gretings from Italy and thanks for posting

  • Me too. It is always so nice to return to it. Thank you.

  • It is wonderful to finally hear that music again. Thank you so much for posting. Besides, your video also brings back wonderful memories of the movie.

  • Glad it brought the movie memories back for you. Thanks so much for posting.:o)

  • Is this the original soundtrack of the movie?

  • Yes.

  • Thank you! This music is beautiful..

  • May God bless you, I love this movie , your editing is one of a kind

  • Wow! I am honored by your comment. Thank you!!!:o)

Gracias !

  • Muchas gracias por tu comentario. "Tema de Rodrigo" interpretada por la orquesta de Piero Piccioni, "More Than A Miracle" interpretada por la orquesta y coro de Roger Williams

  • I love this movie! And I adore Sophia. I recommend (If you haven't already) read her auto biography. She is such a strong and beautiful woman who endured many hardships in her life. Reading it made me love her even more :)

  • I've read many of her biographies, but did not know she had an autobiography...I'll have to look for it. Thank you for visiting my video.

  • Bellissima!!!!

  • Thanks for posting it. A wonderful timeless movie with Sophia Loren in the peak of her stunning beauty.

  • Couldn't have said it better. Thanks.

  • it's a wonderful montage and the first song is the best song of love in the cinema congratulation!you have permitted to heard this gracias

  • Many thanks for your kind comments.:o)

  • I don't seem to remember this movie, but I will make it a point to watch it. As usual, she is supremely sensual and dignified.

  • Few people remember it from its time, it kind of came and went unnoticed back in 1967. By then, Romantic fantasies were a thing of the past. But now in a time vacuum we can appreciate it for all its wonderful qualities, so do see it. TCM runs it at least once a year. I am hoping it gets released on DVD.

  • Excellent montage! I sure wish this film would be released on DVD ASAP. Have you heard Roger Williams' version heard on his Kapp LP?

  • Thanks! I've heard the instrumental one, I have a CD of it. The one with the chorus that I feature here is from the original U.S. soundtrack, captured from vinyl. I don't believe it is available on CD. I am amazed that it has not made it to DVD. I am hoping they come out with a Sophia box set and by chance it would be included...One can only wish at this point.

  • How right you are Serg, Sophia even makes dirt sexy...incredible photos of her...

    Wayne

  • Thanks, Wayne. Always good to hear from you.

  • Como decimos en cubano....TE LA COMISTE! What a wonderful collage of pics....Congrats!

  • Un millon de gracias! :o)

  • This holds many memories of a much gentler time. Progress isn't all that it's cut out to be. Or maybe that's the romance author in me.

  • Yes,a much gentler and simpler era. Thank you!

  • You know, I have to say that they really knew how to promote cinema with style and class back then as opposed to now!! These days it's overkill, overkill...the movie gets one weekend to premiere...then it disappears if it "fails" to be a moneymaker & you won't hear about it again until it's out on DVD! In those days you had so much beautiful imagery to go along with the show it really was like a big event to see a blockbuster...and no cheesy merchandising or soundracks that preceded it either!

  • So True. I would have loved to have seen the U.S.premiere of this film at Radio City Music Hall in New York back in Nov. 1st, 1967. Only 41 years have passed...;o) Thanks for posting.
