This song is about everyday life. There are always going to be problems in life, and as the song's title puts it, let's not let issues of the world bother us tonight.
that derby eve jam was 1982 they opened for dr. hook...those were the days of good music and great concerts at freedom hall....My teenage kids are jealous of the legendary bands that passed through the ville...
Loved the Atlanta Rythym Section -( Ronnie Hammond-vocals, Bailey Bros. on guitar, and Paul Goddard- Bass) saw them at a Derby Eve Jam in 1980 or 81, can't re. also saw them in the early 90's in lex.Ky @ Breedings on Main, actually sat 3 feet from Ronnie Hammond singing all those good songs like Champagne Jam, Do it or Die, Large Time,So in to You & my personal fav. Georgia Rythym...the funny thing is my brother Jim kept yelling for them to sing "Ballad of Lois Malone", an obscure tract fr. Cham
I love the crackle of vinyl! Brings back great memories! ;)
