i really want to mix goldfish with clown loaches, and it seems by your video, you did successfully. Are these fish still alive ? If they aren't, how long did they live for ?
@DefyingGravity767 I traded them for money years ago. The loach was part of a group of 5 that I got at the LFS year end sale. The other 4 never ate and died. The one that lived was the scrawniest but turned out to be the hardiest. The goldfish came after. I figured the clown loach might be lonely so I put them together. He seemed to busy himself in the crowd so I left it that way. It's usually not a good idea to mix anything with goldfish though..except maybe an algae eater.
kick ass fish man but i have to agree, that fish tank is a bit small for that many goldfish. but they all look healthy soooo.... keep up the good work!
Hey don't let these clowns bring your hopes and hobby down. These youtubers have no appreciation for anyone else but them self. Keep doing what you do best and do it! I wasn't into goldfish until i met my cousin and wow...It's like i went on youtube looking at all goldfish videos lol..Nice fish by the way.
@waterkeeper03 Yes there are other plants in there but most of it in the other tanks. The goldfish like anacharis and I also sold it back to the LFS for credit.
thank you for the information..i love orandas...by the way i placed my air pump in a sponge filter ..and i have this 250l/h pump and topfilter. i have placed on my topfilter activated carbon and just filter wool..any ways thank you for the information again..godbless
@heroangelo12345 I'm not sure what you're asking but if you have enough filtration then you don't need aeration. Mostly the aeration is for effect and it moves the water around which can help with dead spots and circulating . It also can add air by rippling at the surface. Some fish however don't like so much water movement so you wouldn't want that much aeration. You have to watch the fish to see how they move together and try to get their habitat positioned so that they will swim around happy
@fischersrt My goldfish has these white spots on them, so I thought it has ick so i drop some of these ick-cure in. I also keep my tank clean. Can you give me some suggestions to keep it healthy?
@LilShortAznKiddo Unless those white spots look like salt they aren't ick. My goldfish uused to get white fungus. You can get a cure at petsmart, etc Change the carbon filter and some water.
How many goldfish do you have? That's way too many. Fancy goldfish need at least 20 gallons each and an additional 10 gallons for another. So for a 60 gallon, you can only have 5 fancy goldfish. Comets and Commen goldfish need 55 gallons per goldfish.
You are way overestimating the amount of water a goldfish needs. It's more like 5 gallons minimum per fish, and preferably at least a 10 gallon tank if you are keeping more than one.
You can get away with more fish in the tank if you have dual filters rated at the same gallons as your tank. But your right, this does look like an overflow of fish.
I fed them flakes, shrimp pellets, greens (spinach, collard greens, etc),brine shrimp and when algae would grow on plants in other tasnks then I would throw them in and the goldfish would eat all the algae off. Lastly I gave them soft and shelled frozen peas.
if u have 2 filters running in a tank like this, can u put extra goldfish??

Your tank is lovely but having too many fish in one tank will lead to them getting ill faster. Fungusamongus right?
