  • you do not have the foggiest idea how many people have sex listening to this song .. lol

  • What model guitar is that?

  • i used to get quite put off by the shape of your guitar... even though it had one of the best tones ive heard...but for some reason now.... jesus that is an awsome guitar! how much did you pay for that blue-ish one behind you?

  • @SASPython Yeah, that shape is quite unique! The blue one in the back was about $1200 used...

  • what are you using for the audio interface?

  • @rockrefugee I use an Eleven Rack. I put it in bypass mode and use it as a soundcard...

  • @Wallimann Any idea if it would work as good with M-audio fast track or any USB interface for that matter?

  • @rockrefugee I used to use this with an M-Audio Omnistudio USB and it sounded as good. As long as your soundcard has a low latency, it should work great. :-)

  • i've always wanted to say that parker sucks.and your awesome :D

  • @gianniswildchild Yeah, you either love or hate Parkers. They are quite unique! Thanks a lot for the nice words!

  • hi there, im really enjoying watching your videos. im a newbie and just want to ask what scale you mostly use when our doing those jazz stuff? thanks.

  • @MrEphi123 Thanks a lot! It kind of depends on the track.. I think this onewas Aeolian, but a lot of the tracks I like are in Dorian.

  • You'd write excellent porn music

  • @MyMetalSkate hahahahah I was just thinking about it....funny man!

  • @prandolas Thank you brother!!!

  • Love listening to you play David. Always have. I am at the point to where I would like to know more about how to set up something through my computer for recording or just playing. I am very computer illiterate and may need something very user friendly. Any advice? Websites, etc....For example, I know nothing about soundcards which you and others keep referring to. I need to get into the 21st century and I need your help!:)

  • @tblues01 Thanks a lot!!!

It kind of depends of your budget... and your computer...

If you want something kind of plug and play and if your computer is not too old, you might want to check the Line 6 Guitar Port. I heard good things about it, it's pretty cheap and easy to use..

For more serious work, you should check out the M-Audio FastTrack. Not super expensive either and good quality soundcard. The cool thing with the Line 6 is that it comes with sounds already.

  • @tblues01 Unfortunately, a lot of the world is computer illiterate nowadays, but fortunately, companies are making programs easier and easier to use. You would be surprised what you can do with a basic mic, an old Macintosh G4, and a program like fruity loops studio. You don't have to be super into technology to make great music! Though I would suggest a computer that can run well enough to handle a recording program. Best of luck to you!

  • What guitar is that?

  • @sFADfSDGSG This one is a Parker Nitefly. :-)

  • @Wallimann I think I asked this on another video, but I can't find the comment, oh well. I noticed your Spider amp in plenty of your videos. I also have one, and I was wondering if you could share your settings with me. I'm looking for that great fusion tone, but I can't seem to get it out of my amp. Any help would be great, and much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

  • @slashsdevil Hi man!

I have a Spider 2 but never use it.. All the videos are recorded using an Eleven Rack for guitars. :-)

  • @Suprememegaretard Haha! Thanks! :-)

  • god dam, how come your guitar rig sounds so much nicer then mine -_-

  • @lolwtff I think it must be the soundcard you use. I used Rig Kontrol for this video.

  • @Wallimann i use kontrol as well only got it about a month ago, im guessing its just the speakers i use there a tad old now. Also i play alot of metal do u have any tricks to bring out the bass alotmore for guitar rig for a more rythme feel, i can get great sounding leads just loosing the thickness to the rythme

  • @lolwtff Hmmm.. Not sure man. Besides just using the EQ pedals in there.

Most of the time I just use factory presets... :-/

  • 2:19+

that bending lick... that was SICK!!!

  • @EstevanMusic Thanks!

  • Just reminded me of Tender Surrender lol and some santana stuff. Nice feel.

    That was awesome man.

  • notice the fingers! no wonder i feel this one so much

  • @ibagreg Yeah, it really does give a different tone!

  • playing is damn good !...how much do you practice daily

  • @shishir16089 Thanks!

Hmmm.. It's hard to say. Unfortunately since I started doing music full time I don't practice effectively anymore. I am always with the guitar though.

  • @shishir16089 hope yer kidding...

  • @djbadandy1 why should i be kidding ...i have not posted the comment in reference to this video..i have seen almost all his videos...he is a great guitarist...

  • Cool playing as always :^)

  • @antsonc Thanks man!

  • wow, always really impressed with your playing... really mature sound...

  • @guitarczar15 Thanks so much!

  • @Parethas Thank you very much!

  • Wow, very nice.

  • @frankenbat Thanks man!

  • @Wallimann yeah, it sounds like you've improved. more dynamic. the last piece you posted was nice, but i could feel the emotional content more with this. more fullness in the key phrasing. good work.

  • smooth as butter

  • Very nice Dave ...love your finger style playing,,nice

  • @col33145 Thanks a lot Colin!

  • Man I need to catch up on your videos! This is awesome! Super sweet phrasing :P

  • @NotSoSuperJerk Thanks a lot! :-D

  • Superbe mélodie David... J'apprécie beaucoup ta technique de main droite qui incite à l'économie de notes et donc à l'Essentiel...Bravo et merci...

  • @EddyLebonGuiTaRun Merci à toi! :-)

  • Why use a plectrum when you've got fingers. ;-)

  • relax.........................................

  • Your hand looks really relaxed when you're finger-picking, can't you just slide the pick in and keep that position?

  • @mikedg18 Haha! Good idea! :-D

  • I meant GR4 - morning brainfart, I'd suppose. :P

  • Using your Eleven Rack to control GR3? What did you set its input to, mate?

  • @FredtheShred Yeah, I'm just going into the rack and bypassing all the effects (Tuning mode). That's all. :-)

  • Comment removed

  • Which amp are you using? Are those the new pickups?

  • @anshumanchaube95 I'm not using an amp, I'm using Guitar Rig 4. Those are new pickups:

    DiMarzio Chopper in the neck

    DiMarzio Virtual Solo in middle

    DiMarzio Evolution in bridge

  • David, I got the guitar rig 3, and i wonder if you had it, cuz I'm sort of stuck at the sound settings,(To get a fair sound out of it)

  • @TheHeroMaas Hi man! I used to have it, but not anymore... I usually just use presets... What kind of trouble are you having?

  • @Wallimann Well, 1. I can´t get a smooth clean tune, even if I take all of the amps, is still hard and got a distortion tune

    2. Is there any effects or amps "downloadble" to Guitar Rig 4 :O

(What´s the settings for this video :P :D)

    P.s Awesome vid :)

  • Loving your new tone.

  • @XAlphaZEROX Thanks!

  • Class playing as usual!

  • @Adji87 Thank you Adam!

  • Hello David, excellent soloing! I've got a question about backing track: what instrument did you use for those warm sounds of electric piano? Thanks in advance and take care

    Kuba

  • @japalubaczow That's a real rhodes sample... :-)

  • hey dave, is this the parker you pimped up recently..? you've been playing that little riff in the begining a lot lately haven't you.??? :D

  • @kabirnagranee Yeah, new pickups.

Man, yeah.. That lick just sticks.. :-)

  • @Wallimann haha. yeah, to tell you the truth, the first time i heard it on one of your videos, i think it was called some fusion jam or something, it stuck in my head for a few days too.

  • why the sound wuth guitar rig is so clean? :)

  • @Metalscreame Ill try to answer: nice pick ups, nice quiet cables, nicely set up and tuned guitar, quality sound interface connected to a mac, carefully preset software, very clean and nicely sounding backing track but ABOVE ALL a talented player! No gear can substitute the human touch!

  • @nemogre That's too nice. :-D

  • Really nice mate, always putting the soul into...er...soulful!

  • @bigleemac Thank you! :-)

  • fuck how do i learn how to play like this

  • @sfh113 Wallimann's oher videos, naturally :D

  • Sounds great Dave! Then I realized you played it 'ALL' finger style! Lots respect for that!

What amp head/cab are you using in this one? It has a ton of treble and presence I've not been able to find from guitar rig :).

Take care buddy, great addition! :)

  • @udsahn Thanks Jason! If I recall correctly I was using a Marshal type of amp. The preset can be downloaded on the link I just added in the description of the video... :-)

  • Great as always.

  • @112358miau Thank you!

  • Awesome playing! Nice finger style technique. Also after checking out your vids on V-Picks and doing some research I just ordered a small pointed 2.75mm nite-glow and a nite-glow screamer. Looking forward to trying them out.

  • @RaiseItToEleven Thanks! I love those picks, I think you will too!

  • very well done mate

  • @Airplane171 Thanks!

  • WAZ UP I AM DRUNK

  • @wesmartino64 Hahaha! I know!

  • I envy your phrasing man! Excellent!

  • @nemogre Thank you!

  • If this isn't 100% in-the-pocket playing, I don't know what is! WOW!

  • @312chicagoadam Thanks a lot brother! :-)

  • what amp in guitar rig did you use? :) nice playing!

  • @KasperCo I think it was a Plexi. I just put a link to the preset in the description of this video. :-)

  • @Obliaxe Hahaha! Thanks man!

  • Beatutiful!

  • very very nice little melodies and phrases !! is this neck pickup a dimarzio?

  • @NikitasTsaousis Thanks a lot!

Yes, the neck is a Dimarzio chopper.

  • I would say first, but then I'd lose every ounce of dignity I have yet.

  • @EpicLemurz Hahaha! Congrats anyways. :-D
