  • This song is for brothas that's been in the belly of da beast Straight fire dat nasty nas flow

  • "you'll always be my property, nigga stay leakin." Goddamn

  • @91dwest umm correction, it's nigga stay legal.

  • @91dwest its stay legal

  • @ThumbsUpMike 1st guy corrected me thank you

  • Nas' verse on this crazy sick...one of my fav's

  • This beat is so fire

  • IM A PRISON CELL 6 BY 9 LIVING HELL STONE WALLS METAL BARS FOR THE GODS IN JAIL..

OHHHHHHHHH SHIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!! THATS IT!! NOTHING ELSE TO SAY... FUCK !!! THAT LINE COULD MAKE YOU CUM INSIDE OF A TIGER'S MOUTH AND SUICIDE WHEN YOU'RE DEAD ALREADY.

  • Please deviate from reading the top comment. It's a trick. You'll be highly disappointed if you actually listen to the album. Ironically enough, this is one of his best songs period.

  • @TheEvOfKev its okay the 2nd top comment describes you perfectly

  • @mclovin435190 .....I'm lost

  • nashawn never surpassed this...

  • This is his worst album because alot of songs were directed towards bitches. This is clearly the best song off the album. Illmatic, Stillmatic, Godson, and Hiphop is Dead are all classics. Compare to those, this album was garbage.

  • @blackplaque617 not really, problem was that a lot of songs got leaked and his original project was cut (I think it was going to be a double album?) imagine this album with the leaked tracks, google a bit and you'll find out

  • TOO DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP! NAS NAS NAS YOU ARE THE MAN

  • Imo the best track off Nastradamus. I always get chills every time I head this track.

  • that has 2 be one of the top 5, if not top nas verses ever, nashawn spazzed on this joint 2

  • "Cause only you and I know what suffering about" memorable line. No it was not my favorite album by nas but it does contain good lines and good tracks.

  • nas is well underrated my favorite rapper of all time

  • BEIN BROKE AND BAG A DOPE BITCH = POWERFUL MINDZ!

  • this album was good underrated

  • none the less i sleep on this album too much.

  • @DaboooogA We can agree to disagree on this.

Don't however allow media publications with their ulterior reasons to construct your perception of artistic expressions; nor allow certain culprits to pass judgement on said efforts without yourself conducting independant, conscious and unadulterated observation. Don't make yourself out to be like others.

    ONE.

  • @theFRACTALREIGN I agree with that totally but TRUST me, we know nas from illmatic and other good tracks, this album just is not on that kinda frequency, the majority of the album is an obvious financial effort, and im sure you and any other nas fan would agree.

  • @DaboooogA you r making the mistake of judging it by the singles that came out at the time the corny freestyle that MemhpBleek used to start the Roc Takeover and Owe Me which was a bitch joint. The rest of the album has very noteworthy lines and relatively equal beats i.e. being recorded in post DJ and post westcoast era. Shoot emup and this joint we are commenting on and Project Windows hard beats couldve definitely held their own on illmatic.

  • @UglyMafucker Are you serious? Because to say Nastradamus 'held its own' on illmatic is one of the worst things you could have said. I dont care about the post dj and post westcoast era, the production still lacks and his lyrics are nursery rhymes on 8/10 tracks. Nas knows it, i know it, Nastradamus was WACK.

  • @DaboooogA I said(copy & paste): Shoot em up and this joint we are commenting on and Project Windows hard beats couldve definitely held their own on illmatic.(listen to these songs before you respond)

The beats were very good even on the song I did not like. features DJ premier on a very good and relate-able song for many listeners(obviously not you) called "Life WE Chose" i would take the time to pullout examples of the opposite of "nursery rhymes" in it but this is Nas were talkin about.

  • @DaboooogA Also did u think Halftime was a good beat?(someone playing an at times off-bea bass(not in a good way), the drums were a DJ-Loop that did not do Justice to the flow nor lyrics, it suckd da song was a dope freestyle but thats likely made to please the Jazz-hop Fuzion era. "1 Tym 4 ur mind" is nothin to brag about. Very slack in comparison with what Dre was doing at the tym. dnt jump on the hype listn 2 da songs give examples of what makes them better B4 running ur under-informed mouth

  • @UglyMafucker If you need examples then your obviously "under-informed, if you believe halftime and one time are wack tracks, thats your perogative, if you wanna say that tracks like 'big girl' and 'new world' or any of the other wackness on nastradamus was equal to or even better than the latter, then thats also your under-informed perogative.

  • @DaboooogA Toshé I never listen to those tracks but why odnt u respond about the track I DID Mention:

    SHOOT EM UP

    LIFE WE CHOSE

    GOD LOVE US

    PROJECT WINDOWS

    THE PRIMO ONE

    Last Wrds

These arent just good they are 5 timeless quotable classics, surrounded by some not so great, and in Big Girl and Owe Me's case bad joints. Exclude those two and u have something comparible to Illmatic i.e:5 classics in: OneLove, ItsMine,Lifes A Bitch, Memory Lane(not very Quoteable but A++beat), and NY STATE of Mind

  • @UglyMafucker Well i can only give you my opinion:

Shoot em up: Is a simply written, simple glorification of violence on a mediocre havoc joint.

Life we chose: 2nd verse is impressive, altho the first is gun and money references on a decently put together beat.

God love us: Altho i hate its concept, its content is great, but nas' delivery slacks evidently

  • @UglyMafucker Come get me (primo one): i personally think is one of the worst tracks on the album, lyrically it is nursery rhyming, and debatebly primos worst track.

Like i said project windows and last words are the only excellent tracks, they are just about comparable to illmatic. None of the others could be called 'timeless' or 'quotable' in my opinion and to call memory lane 'not very quotable' is underrating it a tad bit.

  • @DaboooogA he was gettin at the other mcs and thugs, on that track, cant forget its hip hop we must have a king.

  • @greatgriffdawg Suck a dick, real talk. Dont school me on what hip hop must have.

  • @UglyMafucker my pen taps the papper then my brains blank, i see dark street hustlin brothas that keep the same rank, message! some will prosper some fail uncorrect bails for direct sales, message! my intellect prevails from a hanging cross with nails, man every time i discuss nas vs jay or pac or big, lil wayne, i play memory lane, listen closely count the curse words, pure lyrics. and yo he always gotta rep the hood, so u need shootem ups, come n get me, lyric for lyric nas cant be touched!

  • @greatgriffdawg A-men. Its up to us to ensure that he wont be as disrespected beyond grave as Pac was. lol with the DBAM2SCWDYJITH message! lol we shold talk send me ur facebook in a PM

  • u not from the hood , cause u dont like none of the hood classics, and u still always have to listen to the lyrics on all his tracks, owe me had the clubs on lock, new world was deep. hip hop was founded on beef, so he always gotta throw out shoots on tracks, talk about hood life, he cant be boxed in nas has so many different styles, hood, intellegent, militant like pac, brag like jay z, grimey like jadakiss, self empowering.

  • @theFRACTALREIGN exactly what he is doing. He's an idiot like 90% of the population. This was an unsuccessful album for a reason btw it sold 2million in its first year

  • NASTRADAMUS is a slept on album with precise lyrics and hard beats. Unfortatetly it also suffers from the critical response of being compared to ILLMATIC. Never has a rapper's work been more unjuslty assessed in the media as a depreciation from the first album.

In reality, Nas only gets better with every new album if not only in lyrical flow but in lyrical content.

  • @theFRACTALREIGN Lol dont kid yourself, this album is pretty wack, this and project windows are the only worthy tracks, lets not fool ourselves.

  • music is medicine you hear it for your self you don,t care for the fake

  • Nas The best Mc..Nastradamus is underrated as an album..critics r bullshit they like drake

  • @HopHip703 Thankyou Drake is a rediculous waste of an MC's IQ he "just want to be successful" and that is ok just dont "act like he's the greatest" as well as dont "saying Im the greatest."

  • Fuck Eminem

  • Almost 4 yrs ago i turned over from hiphop to reggae cus hiphop now only got senseless rappers who really doesnt know anything about anything what they are saying ..

If u listen to nas u hear that all his shit is real and makes sense ...

Hiphop needs more ppl like nas and less weezys and drakes if u ask me

  • i swear its not NASty writin his verses...im really thinkin God himself writes his shit

  • this was Nas most slept on album and this song didn't get the credit it deserves

  • 159,868 ppl know what real music is ;)

  • even til this day when I go bk and listen to classics he never stops amazing me wit the shit that comes outta his mouth! A true MC

  • @oakteck dats the reason i go all the time,he so amazing...cant wait for the day,he's gone sign me,Long Live the God's Son!!!DA M

  • this album was too deep for the average listener, hence the bad reviews from "Critics". people knock what they can't comprehend

  • @91dwest I'm a big nas fan, this song is amazing but you have to admit this was a fairly weak album compared to his others.

  • ..."NEVER LET YOU PLAY ME" BY MONEY ROE & MS LADY...ON MY PAGE....ITS TIME FOR REAL HIP HOP TO BREATH....BELIEVE!!!

  • Nas and dmx best 2 rap artist

  • This is one of the hardest Nas songs

  • There's a story to it why this album was 'lesser' than his other ... 'I am' was supposed to be called 'I am... Nastradamus' and it was to be a double cd album but bunch of songs leaked and he only released 'I am' while other songs didn't come out officially till The Lost Tapes ... anyway label wanted Nas to fulfill his contract and give them an album in like 6 months so he rushed in to scrap some shit together and that's why Nastradamus ain't that hot ... this song is one of his best though !

  • This dude Nas made tracks of being a gun, jail cell and a roach... he's the best hands down!!!!!!

  • Critics said this album was horrible.......

    WHAT THE FUCK?

this album wasnt no Illmatic, but this album kicks the fuck out of every other album I'm hearing from Lil Wayne who gets dick rided like a whore from the critics

Is being real with your lyrics against the law?

    fuck American media to hell

  • @ThumbsUpMike Thats the comprimise Nas makes. Thats why i love him so much. He knows the media doesn't want the real. Hes always said fuck the billboards, hes in it for the music and the realness. He knows it wont make the radio.

  • @ThumbsUpMike god's son, stillmatic too is better. by nas standards is not superior

  • @ThumbsUpMike This album was pretty mediocre compared to his other ones. He went too far w/ the mainstream sound. There were some very dope songs tho, but i think it def isn't one of his best tho.

  • @SolidSnake240 i didnt say it was nas's best, its his worst album he made

but its better than any lil wayne album i heard

  • @ThumbsUpMike True.

  • @ThumbsUpMike critics are dumb shits. since when did any true artist give a shit what they thought? wayne just kisses their ass.

  • @ThumbsUpMike , LOL this album def had its gems such as this track, project windows, come get me, family, nastradumus, new world, life we chose, god love us, shoot em up, some of us have angels, but had some low points to like big girl, queit niggas, you owe me. Its a solid album no illmatic though like you said its not It was written or stillmatic either.

  • @ThumbsUpMike LOL Any "bad" album from the Golden Age of Hip-Hop shits on most albums from 2007-present

  • @ThumbsUpMike Been saying that for years mate. Everyone dismissed this as bubblegum rap disposable garbage and it was actually a fucking good album.

  • @punkyhiphopdood i know thats america

focus so hard on the few or one negative and disregard all the positives!

thats the life of love for a girl right there, girls expect 100% perfect men(that shit dont exist)

If that man has 1 or 2 flaws(like this album) then they throw it away stupidly

Nastradamus had literally 2 bad songs, the rest of the album was amazing

    Highly underrated

  • @ThumbsUpMike Not just America mate. I remember bringing this album in to college and my mates dismissing it before I'd even put it on. I think all of Nas's first albums were quality. Even I am and It Was Written got some pretty bad reviews.

  • @punkyhiphopdood cuz the world fails when it comes to lyricism

It was written had better lyrics than Illmatic, I am had crazy lyrical gems like "ghetto prisoners"

Media is full of shit, they just love to keep people dumbed down, every year american school system ratings get more stupid

  • @ThumbsUpMike Couldn't agree more, another gem that was kicking about around the late 90s was Killah Priest - Heavy Mental, If you're massive into your lyrical content you're probably already aware of that classic. It got slept on though, as usual. Like you said, the media only promote dogshit hip hop that doesn't mean anything. The rot had set in by the mid 90s, now it's just fucking embarrassing.

  • " Maybe one day I'll open up my arms to release you

You'll always be my property nigga stay legal "

    how could i forget this

  • yall cra z if u say wayne betta then nas yall deff dnt listen to lyrics top 5 pun, big, jada, nas, jayz

  • Damn Nas is so articulate, I can picture an inmate going crazy in his cell!!

  • @LWebb1000 why does he have to be in jail?

  • @13allday1 Idk what you're talking about but Nas is rapping from the point of a prison cell.

  • keep on singin and we will keep on listaning love it! good song so dope!

  • i cant believe ppl put wayne ova this man.lyrical GOD.wayne do his thang, not Hatin(yall shud try it)but ne way. this man been a gun, prison cell,he spit a song BACKWARDS!u fuckn kidding me?he was fetus!he wrote a letter 2 an inmate, then wrote it 2 pac n biggie.all them mixtape freestyles! AND any real hiphop fan knows wat he did wit da Purple tape!

  • Does sumone have an instrumental to dis?

  • Real G Shit, NAS IS THE BEST HIP HOP SPEAKER , WHATEVER ALIVE, WHITE BLACK ANYTHING, FUCK DAT SHIT, HE A REAL ASS DUDE, any cd listen to his ass, no matter if he talkin about africa america canada he talkin about EARTH , HUMAN BEINGS , GET FUCKIN REAL AND SEE WHAT GOIN ON AROUND YOU , THIS IS OUR EARTH LETS GET IT RIGHT

  • Lake and Jungle was poppin mad shit after the track lol.... For those that don't know, they talkin bout Capone and Tragedy Khadafi......

  • @TopShotta10904 exactly what happened with Tragedy

  • @TopShotta10904 Nah, I think he's talkin about Nature. Nas ain't have no problems with Capone. Nature siad he went to court around that time and he testified against somebody. I had the magazine that they were looking at.

  • 1 of the best Nas verses ever!!!

  • Nas is the best lyricist alive!

doubt him then those will be your very last words!

  • @ethanolwon Its a metaphor. Nas verse is about him being prison walls. Now if you dont think a prison sentence is modern day slavery then theres things you dont know yet. I like Nashawn's verse but not sure what his metaphor is other than living on the streets. Nas Killed this though.

  • Nas is amazing in this verse.

  • GREAT

  • REAL TALK THATS ONE HIS HARDEST VERSES NASHAWN CAME OFF ALSO BUT THIS WAS PRE -STILLMATIC ENERGY THO! FOLKZ WONT ON THIS

  • I feel u dawg! I use music like period's of time in this short 1. like how could you love Marvin and Hate Curtis??

  • I love nas and the way he use his words....he's truly a lyricist and a genius...and I love this song

  • ahhh fuck Hip hop conflict between east and west. Hip hop wouldn't be the same without any of the coasts. Its all about Hip hop United, underground or commercial.

Just appreciate where Hip hop originally came from, the heart of an expressive person through good quality music. That's where it came from, the heart and mind of talented people.

Say NO to unnecessary conflict and say YES to global unity.

  • nas>>>jay-z

  • nashawns verse is fuckin hard. hes fuckin underrated

  • @faitooo its not that he's underrated since he has no rateable notable nor available records to judge him by. Please use proper terminology so as not to mislead those who r new to this artform. The word u were looking for is unrated, or under-recorded.

  • @UglyMafucker lol. you don't need to have an album out to be rated. im from london and most ppl i know know about nashawn. fair enough he might not be famous but he still don't get the credit he deserves.

  • One of his best songs on his most underrated album smh people need to wake up Nas = GOAT

  • NAS WE ALWAYS BE ONE OF THE BEST

  • nas iz god, this is from the god to the godz...

  • NAS IS GODS SON, FUCK THESE NIGGAS SAYIN HE FELL OFF.

  • pac was harder just better period.but nas that man is a animal second best 4 real

  • this is real hip hop nobody out can even think to compare thereselves wit Nasir Jones.... I play wit ur mind while u sleep....... make u DREAM THAT U FREE THEN U WAKE UP 2 ME

  • And why is people talking about Pac on a Nas song...Just listen to this boy spit, because NOBODY is spitting like this anymore...PAST AND PRESENT.

  • Nas my man but he took a Prodigy line in the hook

  • @RashidSupremeA7 what line and what song?

  • @Quikster220 burnin my lips from roach clips from Give It Up Fast

  • @RashidSupremeA7 ...They were boys, why wouldn't he use it. And besides P use Nas voice on a couple of his hooks also.

  • Real is real nas is real ill!!!

  • Alot of people didn't appreciate what Nas did or said on this album. Looking back I now realize that this was his second best album.

  • he go way too hard in this song

  • Nas when he is on point is something else... Brings a whole other level to hip hop and talking about some real shit... This track is one of those times...

  • classic ish....4real! @djdoctora704

  • @doctoramuzikonline ..this was the only good song on Nastradamus///lol

  • @jenn1fer get ur white ass out of her this has nothing to do with u and also emenem he sucks ass

  • @fredib100 fake critic? Lmao u are truly a character, in fact, one that dies before the credits even roll up. Everybody has opinions about both artist. I dnt know how u interpreted my comment and I don't care honestly. Like I said, 2 different styles, both are raw at the end of the day.

  • yeah. Pac definitely went the hardest, put 100% of his heart into everything. made you feel him thru the words. but as far as being BUTTER over the beat, he can't beat Nas at that. no shame in that.

  • but don't get me wrong i love nas lyrics and how he speak on the state of balck lives in america, he and pac both. fuck white people, and kiss my ass if you don't like it. so what those beast catigated us for hundreds of years i have no mercy!

  • this was an underrated album... there's some hot tracks on it including this one

  • @Tha4thLetterr yeah man after Illmatic this is my favorite Nas album

  • Nas is a pro, Tupac is a pro.

Mos Def is BETTER.Check him out and you'll never do the nas/tupac argument agin cos you'll be too busy jammin to the realest cat that ever lived, the mighty Mos Def

  • Mos Def is tight, but come on man.. he aint seeing Nas lyrically.

  • Nas is a pro, Tupac is a pro.

Mos Def is BETTER.Check him out and you'll never do the nas/tupac argument agin cos you'll be too busy jammin to the realest cat that ever lived, the mighty Mos Def

  • Nas is a pro, Tupac is a pro.

Mos Def is BETTER.Check him out and you'll never do the nas/tupac argument agin cos you'll be too busy jammin to the realest cat that ever lived, the mighty Mos Def

  • this is the only song i felt on the album...

  • nas's verse was tight thats the problem wit pipo who dnt understand poetry!alot of people didnt understand this album when it come, only a few did wit a poetic mind.

  • I think they was talkin' about 2 different cats and the second was Tragedy Khadafi: "ex crackhead".

  • This is the only Nas album I don't own. i think i gotta go get it.

  • nashawn had a great verse, but nas is just painting pictures with words as usual, and thats just amazing. im sick of ppl saying this album is wack

  • 110% prime music

  • This album is only for certain people.

  • @ ordnell jay-z is not on nas' level....jigga is a biter not a writer..fuck that dick suckin lips camel bitch...lmao

  • he said Jay Electronica is on Nas' level, not Jay-Z homie

  • i love this album but i have to admit it was his worst album... but this album is better than any 50cent lil wayne or dipset album put together. i wish people stop listing to that fake shit.....NAS=GOAT!!!!!!

  • epic

  • @ordnell KILL that bullshit..he was inspired by nas and majority of his shit is NAS shit..but spinned and turned around. NOONE can touch nas..someone need to create something NEW not recreate the shit. NAS created all the shit you hear today..!!! It just all flipped around..no body not even rakim or KRS lyrics were as complicated and full of poetry and street truth as NAS shit..!! EVERYBODY from Pac biggie eminem wutang etc copied NAS!! Nas was a prophet in the hood in the 90s! as a TEEN!

  • @falseistrue You must can't read or something! I said that can't nobody see Nas. Your boy J.E. is on hias level, but he still can't see Nas. Before you comment on my shit read the whole thing first!

  • COSIGN THAT SHIT 110% homie.

  • A lot of Nas' stuff is so opera and tragic. And he knows how to grab his audience emotionally and drag them deep into his world. He's a real artist!

  • one of his best...on his least critically acclaimed cd. critics don't know shit.

  • anybody notice o the album cover his eyes one is lookin strait and one is lookin the other way

  • Just out of intrest is anyone actually listening to Nas on this song? dont get me wrong Nation is alright but Nas creates a mental picture so vived if his verse was a painting it would be a Da vinci (perfect balance of art, maths and science). In terms of perfect balance Nas has no equal doa!

  • @MikeydaPikey1 Nashawn*

  • @MikeydaPikey1

yea but he studied bigs shit biggie could paint a vivid picture

  • @wario777able ''He studied bigs shit''??? listen to what u just said..first off Nas came in 1991 and Biggie came in 1992..Illmatic dropped before Ready to die u idiot so what the fuck is u talkin about?..if anything biggie took a page outta Nas Rhyme book son..get the facts straight homie..Nas is ahead of big in my book..i mean he does got 10 albums compared to 2..not tryna hate on BIG but give respect where it is due bruh.listen to Rewind,i gave you power & Fetus and tell me BIG is better

  • @MikeydaPikey1 its Nature...

  • @MikeydaPikey1 its Nashawn
