I love these cookies my daughters love them too i had them in a restaurant and they werent so fresh so i decided to learn how to make them for them thank you very much for making it easy for me to do it
I could never be a pastry chef...I'd be fat. Chocolate would be specialty...I helped make some chocolate candies and the melting chocolate was too creamy and soft to resist...mmm.
@MrHasie Me too...I know exactly what you mean....some one had once said, "every thing I ever wanted to do is either illegal, or immoral, or fattening...".
I just tried making these the other day. AMAZING! They taste soooo good, and they're so incredibly easy to make. Even I didn't manage to screw them up with my dismal baking skills. :)
I tried these for the first time from my local grocery store bakery. They made them about 3 times the size of yours Dyann! And I'm not sure they used enough sugar...they tasted like part cookie, part croissant. Anyway, they were definitely different.
I saw them for the first time at a Chinese buffet a couple of days ago. Definitely don't think a Chinese buffet is the best place to try them at for your first time, so I didn't. <.<
that's y!!...i screwed it up by using powder sugar and i think i rolled it a little bit too thin!... guess i have to try again. Practice makes perfect!

Ah.. I was wondering what they were really called.
Now, about a puff pastry recipe, did you cover that already? I'd like to know how to make my own.
