steroids dont make you a champion hard work put in with the steroids to push your limits do. people on juice work harder then those who arent. if you talk bad about people who use juice your fucking ignorant.
@yamafucku what? your just saying that to say it, all i said is real competitive athletes who juice work fucking hard, come up with a real rebuttal you fucking moron.
guy that says he didnt take steroids, and passed a drugs test, the roidz might have been out his system, dianabol and some orals have a very short half life
The Bodybuilder Paul Jean Guillem (sorry if i spelled the name wrong); the guy who said he will pay $100,000 if he fails a drug test. Too bad they were a little dumb in the 80s and did not realize you were taking HGH which is not detectable in a drug test. NOW PAY ME MY $100,000! LMAO
These guys in the vid have said it perfectly. It's the unrestricted and mindless use of steroids which has made it a danger. Any drug, be it steroids or aspirin, is dangerous if you keep putting it into your system like a maniac. This notion, of steroid being a "magic potion", have cost many people dire injuries; and have cost others their life. As Gaspari said, its supposed to be "just a finishing touch" & "more is not better".
I'm pretty sure your body remembers the maximum potential its reached with its muscle gains. If you put on all the mass on steroids, lost it becasue you stopped training and didn't maintain the proper diet, the body would still rememebr what it had and would reach it again much quicker even through natural lifting as long as the rest of the routine is on point.
Today's competitors already have great genetics & take something: roids, insulin, HGH - or a combo. I took roids back in my 20's; they worked & I think they are OK to take as long as you don't go overboard. I never stacked more than 2; if I was on for 12 weeks, I took 12 weeks off. Had my blood tested regularly. But the name of the game is nutrition - 75%; 25% is training. Even though I ate decently back then, I wish I had known what I now know about nutrition. Would've had even better gains.
@overcusser i have to disagree. gary strydom has it right when he says training has to be 100% and diet has to be 100% If you not trainin hard, wot use is the diet. Sadly too many people believe this 75% crap and as a result, NOBODY is known as a hard trainer in the pro ranks. Branch? he just grunts and THROWS weights around. so they think they just eats loads and train like idiots.
@thomasmichael1 Equally they both are, but I still disagree; Strydom is 1 person, and I could find 1 to stress diet over training. I used to work out with Ricky Gates sometimes (Vickie's ex) and he preached diet. So did an NPC promoter that I went to for my diet, he did/does precontest. Go eat burgers, chips & cookies for a few mos and see what that does. Then clean it up, cut out the processed carbs, eat enough calories, get enough protein, etc. and then see what gains you make.
@thomasmichael1 Not enuf room. I'm not referring to not training hard; hard training, drop sets, rest/pause, whatever-hard training is already assumed. In the total equation, what's more important-diet or training? I feel it's diet. Without enough calories & fat, the body will hold onto what it has & you won't burn fat, if that's the goal, for example. As for Branch? He must not train hard like you say, as he keeps tearing things - can't argue there. He must be brittle.
I know a lot of people who take anabolic steroids and look like shit. They don't train, eat, sleep or dedicate good enough. Steroids are only a small percent of your success. But of course the percentage adds up if you follow good nutrition, smart training etc.
@volcomer182 dude i always tell people that and they dont believe me they think the top guys in the world in any sport apart from bodybuilding are natural bunch of retards man
@TheMightyLu The first use of steroids was not in Olympics. I forgot the two people that test it. But they tested it on some powerlifters back in the 50s. Didn't start with Olympics. Also, steroids don't make the bodybuilder, training, eating, etc etc does.
@UIsTall They were actually Russian olympics. The first case of steroids was used, but it was a terrible derivative. That's why they developed a much superior formula: D-bol. Which is still used today and pretty much the staple of bodybuilders through the 50s to 90s when they started using HGH and insulin.
yet there are weight lifting sports in the olympics which has steroid use. really though anyone who relies on their body for a LIVING is going to be highly tempted to use any kind of performance enhancer they can get away with. i think.
