yoou can also get costly punch without doing missions /SPOILERS/when zack goes to gongaga after he fights those 2 genesis copies just do 7 normal battles and then go to the waterfall and there there is a minigame and if u get at least 10 chests u get goblin punch and if u fuse goblin punch with any materia (EX: octaslash) u get costly punch :D

dun ask me wich are the missions LoL cuz theyre 100+ and i dont rememeber i know that, in the 1st time i played, when i reached mako reactor 5 in story ,

i had alredy like 4 or 5 shops so pay attention to treasures, yeah they often offer crap, but they also offer nice goodies

@ExiledSilentOne it depends on your hp if yah got any aattck break equipment (sorry i've forgotten it a little bit) you will get 999,999 damage but you will nee any hp breaker equipment then have 999,999 without break like his hp

i think you must do side missions...and some just adds up as you go through the story.. the player is already somewhere at the ending part in this video. (right before the final battles with genesis, i think?). he's got all shops. so...yeah. it sort of depends on where you are in the story.
