That was fenomenal! Can you tell me please the names of the other rhythms? I only know beledi, it is what you have played first, isn't it? Great, inspiring video! Thank you!:)
just a question...how do you get your fingers so loose..I mean when you hit it once it seems at if you hit it more than once...thats the problem i have when am drumming -.-
I am having trouble with my teks, is it ok to use middle and ring finger? Or could I possibly use both fingers and eventually just stop using my middle finger?
Best lessons on youtube, and the website has the best online. I can't wait for my darbuka to come in the mail. Once i learn on that one i am definitely buying one from arabinstruments
when i was child our dance teacher played on darbouka like this then we had to repeat as our teacher. she tested our rhythms. every time i got good mark but i have not rhythm in piano but i can learn very quickly dance rhythms. i don't know the reason, may be i have never busy serious with piano....
That is a great sounding drum. I just bought a toca darbuka because it will help with my Belly Dance technique. But they don't sound as lovely as that. Nor do the men playing them look as handsome as this guy, haha :)
@assafkassel hello my friend. excellent work! I'm following your lessons and i have a question: i can't hit the "slep". can you tell me some more details about this stroke? has to do with tuning? thank you in advance...
@JORDANKAFE The "slep" stroke is one of the most important and sophisticated stroke. You need to keep practice and when it will arrived you will know.........
