Not bad, but when you play that fast you can't hear if anything is in time... it reminds me of when a guitarist turns his effects way up so you can hear if he's playing clean notes or just muddying it up and hiding under the distortion. Outside of one or two fills a lot of this stuff was pretty standard, just faster than most people can play, not any different.

excellent!! not my style but good all the same. Too many people complain when a double kick dude or hands/feet triplet player posts their stuff that "they have no groove' it's a major cop-out when you see it in posts like this. It shows that you have no knowledge of playing. Sometimes it is waranted but not in this case. If you have to be a negative loser say something like 'even though i know Iam a wanker this guy has no dynamic range' which is different from groove & has at least some validity

It makes double bass a lot easier because your feet aren't solely responsible for keeping you balanced. It almost feels like they're kind of dangling, which allows you to move them more freely.

But not a very musical solo i'm afraid. The fills just don't fit. He was getting somewhere with the funk bit at 1:00 but that stopped dead and the fill at 2:30 started off well but turned to crap soon after :(.

The drums were made for AcousticDrums (small Dutch brand) but this specific model isn't available anymore. The kick and snare are Tama starclassic.

coming from the perspective of another drummer, i don't think the brand matters that much. you can get the sound you want out of a pulse set, but if you want to shell out the cash, you can look snazzy behind a pearl, ludwig, or tama. i have a cb set, and i love the sound. you don't necessarily need to spend a lot of money on a set. its nice to have a pearl, but not necessary.

Every drummer has his own qualitys. There's not much use to comparing drummers that have very different styles and say this drummer is better then the other. Some will say Lars Ulrich is the best, others will say Steve Smith is the best. It's a matter of appreciating a drummer for what he's playing.
