I agree with daltonbrett....this song is pathetic. I mean, honestly, does Toby Keith really think anybody cares about what he has to say about himself? I used to like Toby. But the past few years, his songs have just been unbearable. It's just a good thing I really don't like country anymore, because if I had to hear this on the radio every day, I'd go crazy.

And this song is my exact opinion on life. Also, the party doesn't matter. I think parties aren't the way we should look at it. I'm american and that's all that matters to me. You can go on and on about how war is wrong but you know what, war may be wrong, however, that doesn't change the fact that it is nessasary. Also, someone doesn't have to support war to support thier country or thier soldiers.

But when all we do is talk and talk and talk about how we should do this differently and why that should change, where do we find initiative? Everyone remembers the cold war, do we not? As well as the Cuban Missle Crisis.

Sure, our involvement in Iraq has gone a little overboard. But so what? The US didnt want us over there, but why should we be so damn selfish. We are not an Isolationist country. WE HAVE TO BE INVOLVED in other countries. It's Economics. Those of you who havent taken economics in school, I highly advise it. You'll understand what I mean by isolationism and the need to be involved.

But going back to it. The US didnt want troops in Iraq, but many Iraqis did. And look, we captured a terrorist. What will everyone think if we capture Osama bin Laden? Will people say, (what were we doin over there anyways? we had no reason to be, oh well, congrats)? (or will we be uplifted, knowing that one of the biggest threats to the United States, has been apprehended?)

Just listen to it. The lyrics sound like a Conservative explaining his stances. We right-wingers aren't warmongers. We want peace on earth, too. We just feel that war is sometimes needed to bring that peace. We don't hate the poor and homeless, we just think that if you can work, you should. That's what I get from this song. I certainly wish these feelings didn't have politics stamped on them and that they were just common sense, but that's not the way it is.

Why does every disscussion anyone ever has always ends up being a fight about iraq or war i mean seriously I know its a big thing it has affected my whole family and many others, and yet my whole life does not consist of fighting about how he should not be over there or how i hate president bush. If a soldier does not want to be deployed he should have not have even became one in the first place.

War is fully necessary, George Orwell's 1984 held some of the greatest understanding of the subject "War is Peace" and only through war can a country truly unite to fight for the greater good, If "I sometimes think war is necessary" was not in the song it would ruin the entire message
