a friend sort of outed me to my mom and then it spread from her to my family..so my acts throughout the process were pretty passive..I just listened to peoples support..and it wasnt as bad as I was afraid it would have been. Very cute in ur vid, btw! =)

I think,saying that you are bisexual, is a way of telling your (less enlightened) acquaintance that you are not going to become an extreme person.

It's like saying: I'm a regular guy, but I just like guys.

Cute... I would be more scared coming out in a country that is so deeply Catholic. I think Brazil is Catholic, isn't it? That accent is major plus points in the US. I don't know how you and your brother were brave enough to both come out. If my brother said he was gay and came out to my parents first then I think I would literally die. Sounds like your brother was a little ashamed and didn't want to disappoint your mom. But good job on coming out to your parents. A lot of parents think it's "their fault" if their kids are gay but it is not. Parent's need to accept their kids being gay just as much as one person needs to accept their own homosexuality. There's a coming out for the kids but there is also a "coming out" for the parents in becoming comfortable with their kid being gay.

I came out to my mom the day of my 19th birthday. When I came back from school, and as soon as I walked in the door she played the happy birthday and gave me a hug, I didnt let go. Next thing you know a bust out in tears and she kept asking what was wrong. Then I told her! I had to hold her because she was going to fell back. She asked so many ?, and then when my dad got back from work we ate dinner and then they went up stairs, then my mom called me and he just said he loved me and cried!
