People do not just sit around and die, when resources are limited people fight to the death over them to survive.

I won't believe in 2012 or nibiru or any of that stuff until I can see it with my own eyes, but if you're talking about a cataclysmic event I don't trust anybody to protect me but myself and a select few family/friends. The people who flock together in mass would be the first to die. If you horde food or water it means absolutely nothing unless you can defend it, or else somebody WILL take it. In any survival situation having a gun is an indespensible boon.

I didn't get in the forces myself, I was badly smashed up in a car accident and never even managed basic training :(

Like you said, I'd rather be with the guys holding the Guns and the Ace card... Not huddled with general public.

I have been making the right friends and really making an effort to open their minds to the corruption our world governments before they join the armed forces....
