I highly recomend the Navara! It's a very reliable vehicle, powerful engine and can easily pull heavy objects.

You have no idea how many times me and my dad have gone off road with the nissan. It handles the terrain so well that you want to drive off the main road and go 4x4 off road :)

@MaracaCoelho Totally right!! Depending on presence or absence of cargo, the handling of these trucks differ. Rollovers and loss of steering control may be very common when there is no cargo at the back, even more so under wet conditions, especially under 4 wheel drive.

In that case, yes, navara tops in power and acceleration because there the triton is detuned to suit the low diesel standard. but the european version of triton is much more powerful and is neck by neck with navara..

trust me man, when talk about speed on the road, even the L200 3.2L will not match the accelaration the navara will perform. Try drive it offroad, mild-to-moderate terrain. then compare between the 2. you will appreciate the comfort that navara give in comparison to the others.

I've own it for the past 2 yrs now 2.5 Auto, drove in town, offroad for fishing, to my plantation, it a real BAD ASS pick up! have not face problems so far, already clock at 92k kilometer !

Navarra has a six speed gearbox. The Triton only comes in five speed. Unfortunately the Navarra comes with plenty of problems, my friend only had his for 3 months and had to have his clutch replaced. He also has a hilux but hasn't encountered any problems with clutch.

All of you out there. You need to test drive both of them at comparably the same track, with the same 2,5L version. If you only own one, but not the other, and have not even try to test drive those 'others', then you know nut about that 'others'. I've interchange use all 3 trucks hilux, triton & navara (w/friends). NAVARA WILL CHEW ALL OF'EM easily. And if you want accelaration/speed on the hi-way, even the triton 3.2L cannot catch-up with the navara 2.5L. unless u r actually BRAND ORIENTED !.

@madiaris maybe you don't have any hills where you live, i tested both the triton 3.2 and the navara 2.5 on long climbs, the triton has a constant speed climbing any hill, while the navara didn't. cheers.

@THENOXG Marketing, people from the US rather use bigger trucks or SUV´s (kind of F-150´s and US trucks) and the diesel branch is yet not so popular, these two are light but pretty efficient trucks with huge performance both in cargo and power, also the fuel consumption is not too much compared to other trucks.

These two trucks are actually being sold here in Colombia, the reason is because these are receiving support from transportation and logistics operators.

The Nissan's appearance is American,the Mitsubishi is more European and i like it more.Its engine is a bit underpowered,so opt for the 178 2.5l version,which is also economical.The Mitsubishi interior is way better,especially at night.I don't really know about on road manners of the Navara,but the l200 is adequate.it's a bit noisy and its suspension is clearly suited for off road usage.Off road,i think the l200 has the edge,thanks to its SSAW,its lockable diff and its close range gearbox

independent of any personal preference, the L200 is definitely the better pick up of these two cars..

It has much better drivetrain which offers securer handling onroad..

It´s also equipped which Dynamic Stability Control and things like that..

Moreover the chassis is more modern...

The engine power is not determining, building an engine which much performance and torque is nothing particular, rather the characteristics..

Mitsubishi TRITON is the best. Nissan , Toyota, Isuzu and Mazda are just toys for this. Most of the companies here in Saudi uses MITSUBISHI vehicles as their work horse. If any of you pple really want to know the capabilities of MMC vehicles you should have one. Pajero/Montero they possess the power of a true ralliart. WRC for EVO's.

navara......l200 might look nice but its less powerfull and the drivers sit does not feel good when driving and when you compine it with its little bit soft springs makes you feel like its very dangerous to speed up or go offroading easily etc.....there are so much to compare but.....navara....or hilux.....:P
