  • I had a 1990 Town Car when it was 10 years old and had 75,000 miles on it.

It was by far one of the best cars I ever owned. I sold it at 135,000 and it was still going strong.

This was Motor Trend's car of the year in 1990. In 1991 it was the 'whale body' Chevy Caprice.

  • lincoln mercury guy here! too bad, the '91 on town cars did not retain the unique, 1990 only chrome bumpers.

  • ford was stupid to kill the town car and not replace it with something on the same lines. They killed their limo sales by doing that.

  • these were such junk!

  • the transmission on the 1989-1997 Lincoln Town Car

    Transmission

    4-speed AOD automatic 90-92

    4-speed AOD-E automatic 92-95

    4-speed 4R70W automatic 95-97

  • @clemsontigers95

Or drive a 1980 Continental Town Car with the 351W V8.

  • "How do you improve on a legend, you begin a new one.." EXACTLY. the 89 can't be touched.

  • big enough to haul a dozen illegals in the trunk

  • Ford <3

  • Maybe it's just me, but I always thought the 1989 Town Car was so outdated for its time. It looked like a car from the 1970s. 1990 model looks WAY better.

  • The best improvements since the last of 1985 Lincoln Town Car. After 1985, they shapped it a little different as I did not like the curving of the front and rear. I loved the Lincold Town Car from 1980 to 1985! Then when the new 1990's version came out, it looked great again!

  • the 1990-1997 Lincoln Town Car was assembled in

    Wixom, Michigan, USA

  • @Annihilator1111 The T/C was assembled in Wixom, MI until the plant closed in 2007. They moved Town Car production to St. Thomas, Canada, where the Grand Marquis and Crown Vic were still produced...before retiring the platform altogether this past year.

  • bad ass car!!! i had a 1993 town car five yrs ago, i like the 1996, the new models are ugly

  • Beautiful in black at 0:22!

  • i didn't know they put the 5.0 in this body style i thought they only had the 4.6

  • @infinity3jif I think the '90 was the only year for the 5.0 in this body style...the 4.6 began to be used in '91.

  • @infinity3jif The Redesign of 1990 Carried Over the Windsor Engine from the Previous Town Car then they switched to the smaller Modular Engine.

  • I love the old cars. new cars suck cock!

  • @lovehamsters14 Yes, especially the Japanese junk!

  • @lovehamsters14 I wouldn't go as far as to say new cars suck cock, but I too do perfer old cars.

  • I used to drive a couple of those Town Cars when I was a Taxi driver and they handled nicely..but were really long. When driving those luxorious land yacts ya watch your angles

  • Have some friends with a '95 Cartier they bought new, Still a great car!!

  • Being a former owner of a '94 model, this was indeed one of the finest automobiles I ever owned, the design change in '90 was very modern but still classic.

  • Does anyone have the ad from the 80s where Lincoln was making fun of cadillac and the valet kept bringing the guy an olds or buick. And then another guy says "lincoln town car please..." there's no mistaken it!" I LOVE that ad. Can't seem to find it on here. Please let me know!! Thanks!

  • @ped9130 Sound like a great commercial, and its right! All gm cars look/are the same!

  • i fucking love these cars

  • I didn't like this car when it was new, but I do now. It just looks classy.

  • @F41Driver I agree.... after seeing all the Japanese junk like Lexus, Infiniti, and Acura you can now appreciate the car much more now!

  • @F41Driver

Believe me, I had an 89 Town Car and it was awesome. I felt great driving it. Not only was it roomy, but it was well-built, but had vintage appeal.
