@Knight121198 Yeah, it is like, doing quick barrel rolls and stuff. I like that they are showing that the Starships can do cool maneuvers, but they wouldn't be able to that quickly.
This is definitely the best fan produced series out there, and it's pretty cool that they get actors from the original to star in it. This first episode is a little shaky acting-wise and the plot is a little too busy (plus I don't know why the ships hop around cartoon-style because it really jars badly with the drama) but you can really see the effort that went into the production.
@icemachine79 Well they spent 100K to reconstruct the bridge and other sets, so the CGI special effects had to suffer. If you watch some of the later episodes, you will see they have increased the quality quite a bit.
I love how the deflector shield beam sound is the heat ray sound from the 1950's version of War of the Worlds. Good to see Malachi Throne again in the Star Trek universe as well. I like the guy who plays Pike, Kurt Carley. He is a pretty damn good actor not only in this show, but in others as well. I can't wait till the new episode, "Blood and Fire" finally comes out. Looks to be a great show.
It's never a drill. When is it ever a drill?
