  • @80DaNnO80 "I didn't hear voices. It was a conscious decision on my part. It was a power thing. I simply acted on my fantasies." - mass murderer Henry Lee Lucas

  • i hate people who always say Fear Factory owes this band... yea maybe along with every other band who influenced them..but Fear Factory is another band and a good one at that and they dont need to be compared to anyone else...

  • why is it this song has over 100,000 views

and every other godflesh song on youtube usually has only 10,00 or less?!

cmon people, theres a fucking amazing band for you to listen to right in front of your face just a click away.

  • @SkyussValley7

    >Look in the related video

    >See 10 Godlesh songs with more than10,000 views

Did you even bother to think before commenting?

  • @SocialOutsider Yeah, but if you bothered looking yourself you would see most of them just have a few thousand and most of them don't have anywhere near half the views of this. Did you ever stop to think about not being an arsy little shit before commenting?

  • @jakyboy888 Thats true but what you still said was false and I simply pointed it out.

    Butthurt faggot.

  • JB forever...No,not Justin Bieber...JUSTIN BROADRICK...

  • @HikerTrent I don't even bother with Static-X anymore. I've moved onto much better bands, including some melodic death metal and groove metal.

  • this is shit

  • So...fucking...badass. 0_0

  • these were so fkn awesome last night at Damnation! unbelievable live!

  • Godflesh is the only metal band formed in the 80s which I like.

  • @cheese1678989 Meshuggah? come on man.. Give those men some love!!

  • @Tool78Maynard Wow. Thanks for introducing me to those guys. =D

  • @cheese1678989 search "dancers to a discordant system"..or any other song for that matter. Those dudes from Sweden know how to fuck shit up.

  • @Iwantpies1237 Mostly black and death.

  • @cheese1678989 Black, black, ..... it's all black....

  • @p97154 What's wrong with black?

  • @cheese1678989 Ahk, I've got a fairly diverse metal taste but black and death are pretty damn good metal genres

  • Only way to survive commuting to work.

  • This is like Throbbing Gristle on steroids.

  • Why is Godflesh so perfect?

  • THIS is REAL Industrial Metal! Shit like Marilyn Manson,Static-X,etc.... can FOAD!

  • Ah man. Godflesh fucking rules!!!!!!

  • Lawlz, this is the scariest thing I've ever heard. What kind of.

  • Isis did a pretty fuckin' sweet cover of this baby. Y'all should check it out.

  • @davethehostage ISIS covered this ,,? What album was that on ? ISIS fucking rules!

  • @1oneeyeAnomaly It was an EP, I'm not sure which one though. You should definitely check it out if you're into either band.

  • @1oneeyeAnomaly "Sawblade EP"

  • Groovy cover from the film Altered States.........

  • Mike Patton suggested God Flesh.

  • Satan?

  • i was brought here by wikipedia and my love for NiN, and it listed these two in the same genre. i like this sound, sounds Harder than NIN, and i like it.

  • they're the best

  • not metal, techno shit.

  • @wormsinfestedfetus

    ...huh?

  • @wormsinfestedfetus What the hell are you talking about?

It has some techno ELEMENTS, yes. But it's mainly metal.

  • I'm sure when the guitar was first invented, there were retards who said "oh, that isn't real music". Hell, the first time someone used something besides a bone on log or skull, someone probably uttered that same stupidity.

  • i want to hear an entire album of a guy beating a bone on log and skull

  • hey does any one know who's voice that is at the begining I'm thinking its bundy am I right?

  • I just heard these guys for the first time like 4 or 5 months ago. Better late than never. I fucking love them

  • @InaGameComa Come over to the Dark Side, young one.

  • From Fear Factory and Static X to this and Ministry...

    I've come a long way.

  • @TheGeek1028 Fear Factory are awesome mind you. Obsolete and Demanufacture were great albums.

  • @THEMANOUTOFTHECAVE I still listen to Fear Factory, but it gets old after a while.

Godflesh... too unique to ever get tired of.

  • @THEMANOUTOFTHECAVE Don't forget Mechanize! In my opinion Mechanize is better than Obsolete.

  • @TheGeek1028 here's your congratulatory penis trophy Mister Underground 2011!

  • @TheGeek1028 Still got a long way to go my friend :) Cabaret Voltaire, Throbbing Gristle, Skinny Puppy, Nurse With Wound, Coil, Lustmord, SPK, Pigface, Flesh Field, Angelspit etc...

  • @TheGeek1028 What's wrong with fear factory?

  • @subhumanmaster "I still listen to Fear Factory, but it gets old after a while."

  • @subhumanmaster i only like the first fear factory album, that's it.

  • @TheGeek1028 I still love Static X :)

  • @Darkenexus eh, they are a mediocre at best band. they don't compare to godflesh.

  • @POSEREXPOSURE1978 Never mind, tastes are different and that's normal...

  • @TheGeek1028 STATIC X BOI... MAI BOI...

  • @TheGeek1028 Then it's time for some Killing Joke :) Or Swans...

  • @snupcho You have my respect.

  • @snupcho Swans muthafucka.

  • @TheGeek1028 now try the havoc unit

  • SICK!!! I LOVE IT!!!

  • this sounds really evil and sinister. i love it. thumbs up.

  • Just saw them live. Unbelievable. Thank you Godflesh.

  • @Ace9595 Malpractice-tastic ;)

  • Godflesh is some sick shit! REALLY dig this stuff!

  • Zajebista Płyta Pozdrawiam GODFLESH I wszystkich miłośników

  • It is from the Film Altered States

  • The album cover reminds me of The Blair Witch Project

  • It was a conscious decision.......

  • @JohnnyMytton

    it's a computer.

  • This is such a good record.

Listen to the guitar wail over everything, it's almost hypnotic.

  • @Schizima.. yeah and combine that with the slow pace of the song, its like your floating into a drug induced hallucination.. I've always thought opera or trance/electronica can be really relaxing where you can fall into a sort hypnotic trance. But industrial metal can do that as well, not only that but it can also scare your little sister =D

  • @JohnnyMytton Actually, it's a drum machine :).

  • @EilianNoyes its a drunken keebler elf beating severed limbs of his opressive masters on a torched treetrunk

  • Scary good.

  • @JohnnyMytton yea I don't really go for that, I mean I can appreciate what he's going for, but I don't enjoy it, the most minimalist thing I'm into is Burst, check out the album Lazarus Bird if you haven't already.

    watch?v=GlhP1pjX774

  • i still got this somewhere, think the album was called pure and it had a mossy stone hand on it.. grind crushher was a good compilation as well.

Its real eye watering constipation music

  • Does anyone know what the sample at the beginning is from? According to the site, it's Henry Lee Lucas, but I watched a documentary about him and it does not sound like him...is it from the horror film based on him? I'm really anal about where effective samples in cool music come from - I need to know!!

  • @SROCeallaigh I always just find out by chance, like I watched that movie 'day of the dead' recently, the 1985 one, I heard that line "this is my monkey farm now Frankenstein, and I want to know what the fuck you're doing with my time!!!!" but now I can't remember what song I heard that sampled on...

  • @luke666808g yeah, often happens to me too...like when I heard the samples that fear factory used on soul of a new machine...I new what films were sampled (or a couple), but not what parts were sampled...

  • klasyk i kutas!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fuckin cool!!!!

  • The ISIS street cleaner cover is fucking sick to! Though i like the sound of the vocals better in this one. They are terrifying!

  • meow

  • i have always loved all metal except this kind of, but i have to admit that this song pretty good

  • fucking ignorant goyim

  • @mastertrev It's good to be goyim. 8)

  • @mastertrev

    hahahahahaha

  • 2000 to 2010 was the worst year for metal in my opinion.

no more inovations or anything heavy,

  • @666Desolate999 There was loads of awesome in those years. Just not mainstream

  • @666Desolate999 Deathspell Omega, maybe? Meshuggah? Blut Aus Nord? Download every Deathspell Omega album, and then give me your opinion, Sir.

  • @clockwerkkilla420 You recommended Meshuggah. You sir, are a god.

  • @DecimationResolve I have never came across a band more sinister and technical than Deathspell Omega, it actually kind of scares me.

  • @DecimationResolve I always thought Meshuggah members would've been the top secret influence for Broadrick's style since both bands explore similar themes within their music and lyrically. Both bands lie open for any createres deepest and consealed mind phisionomy. Then again, its just a prior assiociation concept of mine to such apocalyptic music

  • @666Desolate999 Slayer.

  • @666Desolate999 lol for sure, worst decade for music ever imo; lady gaga, lil wayne, that justin kid, 50 cent, MCR, Fall out boy, if i wanted to kill some braincells i could think of more, but im sure you get my drift.

  • @hellchild65 there's tons of good stuff these days, I mean this is good for it's time, but if this came out today you'd think it was the most generic shit ever. and please get over pop music already, you're acting like there was no pop music in the 80's THERE WAS SHIT LOADS OF IT.

  • @luke666808g nooooooo, i disagree competely, this sounds ALOT better then stuff nowdays, hell no one would make something that sound slike this nowdays, you must be on the wrong drugs if you think that they could. and i didnt make a deal about pop music, i just mention gaga as being shitty and unoriginal, which is true. i have nothing against 80's pop singers, hell im not a fan but madonna was pretty good at what she did and she DIDNT rip off anyone either unlike gaga

  • @hellchild65 all I have to say about this song is "dah doo doo doo dah doo doo dah doo doo dah doo dah dah"

I mean come on, it's not exactly that complex of a riff, you seriously don't think there's anything that comes close to this today? At least TRY to check out some of the metal today, because you've got no fucking idea what you're talking about, AT ALL, and I shouldn't need to give you list of current bands who are better than this to prove you wrong.

    fuck it, GOJIRA, watch?v=3ZVCD6y-LNM

  • @luke666808g

LOL its da DO RUN RUN RUN DA DO RUN RUN go back to your prog rock clown college!

  • @luke666808g complexity doesnt make a song great, im not saying this a is the best group of all time obviously, but they were good artists in the 80s-90's, and i wouldt even compare any artists nowdays to 80's or 90's groups, especially the rock and metal scenes of the last decade, just aweful and unoriginal.... and the older metalheads wonder why the newer breed are a bunch of chubby kids with slipknot shirts and tripp pants, the music has gotten just as bad as the diet those kids are on lol!

  • @hellchild65 You can keep saying that metal of the last decade is crap as many times as you like, but you're wrong.

care to give me your critique of that Gojira song I linked you to?

  • @luke666808g All I have to say is.. Gojira are the best metal band that I have seen in a loooong time.

  • best song EVER

  • Crushes anything comin out these days.

  • Godflesh are true pioneers of industrial metal. I used to shit my pants listening to this band. I had this tape back in 89'. I also had their self-titled debut . I'm glad I can still listen to all my favorite bands from back in the day. Godflesh was ahead of it's time.

  • This album was and still is Godlike! I could never get sick of this sound! I have been listening to streetcleaner since the year it was released!

  • @RatsmithNZ Good for you cupcake...

  • @llamasownyou... wellllll thats a small generalization. I guess theres some people out there who don't like being creeped out by industrial metal. But I like being creeped out =D

  • GOOD

  • wow..brings back memories...great music

  • I was conceived to this song.

  • yeah, godflesh is one of the most scariest bands ever, can't listen to it unless i'm on pot or I'll get depressed. But damn, its good.

  • EVERYONE needs to hear the ISIS cover of this.

    INCREDIBLE.

  • tracks like this one as for the album itself can not be surpassed by today's music industry;no darn chance

  • this album got a 10 on decibel magazine

its an ok song, not the best tho, i used to love this type of music, now im more technical death metal

    i love the drums tho

  • Dammit people, you've got to get your hands on the remastered version of Streetcleaner. One thing I didn't like about this fantastic album (My favourite, in fact, twinned with Blues for the Red Sun by Kyuss) was that the production sounded far too tinny, too thin. The digital remasterings finally give the music the huge open spaces and powerful transient sounds that it needs. I urge you all to buy it.

  • I didnt hear voices......

  • Its so METAL !!

  • Yes. Yes. Yes. So great. GRINDCRUSHER!

  • fear factory owe this a lot

  • @Otium83 literally, plus Dino basically lifted this style and used it on some of the early Brujeria stuff too.

  • i had no idea isis covered this till i heard it yesterday

  • yeah i used to dream of this song while walking around in my youth..id have a scowl on my face and dumb jersey guys would think i was looking for trouble..haa

  • ONE OF THE BEST SONG

  • Absolutely "KULT",nothing more,nothing less".

  • Mighty as ever.

    Love Godflesh

  • what is this song about?

  • @comedybenj I don't know, I'm too busy head-banging to think straight . . . lol.

  • swans' power for power is heavier than this shit

  • the vocals are fuckn wicked!!!\m/

    Godflesh are really the shit

  • @bloodyrockfire Vocals?

  • @AttackShipOnFire well,yeah it isn't an instrumental track,but he doesn't sing constantly that's true but I guess you must have fallen for a naphehe;kidding

there sure are vocals as well

  • ok so... i listened to this, and got dizzy, i still am lol shits scary as hell and its so fuckin epic

  • ... the best album ever ... ever ...

  • no fucken beatin round the bush

  • I always enjoyed Godflesh but if you are looking for the darkest, most eveil record ever, get Dogs Blood Rising by Current 93. Falling Down in Fields of Rape is unbelievable.

  • hell is where i lie or lay doesnt matter im drunk and anarchist for now thanks justin for the great muxic

  • hell yeah godflesh!!

  • hey whos the serial killer sampled at the begining, ramerez?

  • @sunipeacemaker

If I remember, it's Mark David Chapman, the man who shot John Lennon.

  • @Eldeecue it is to

  • momemtum

  • Seconding Brighter Death Now, but it's typically pure noise and sans beat, especially Innerwar. Also check out Scorn, Greymachine, Deutsch Nepal, Jesu, and some of Swans.

    Godflesh stands alone, though.

  • This song is frickin amazin!!!!

  • can any body help me to find music like this .i mean robotic vocoder voices, with the same apocalyptic ambience???what is this the harshest music you know???

  • @satansprick13 Try out some Eyehategod, they are pretty harsh. (but good)

  • @satansprick13 if you're interested in 'apocalyptic ambience', try Brighter Death Now (the albums 'Obey' and 'Innerwar' are good starters). If vocodered vox are your thing, have a look at older Skinny Puppy (their albums all vary and are generally inaccessible but if you have patience you'll be rewarded, trust me!) Both bands are less on the metal side of things, but they're heavy in a different way.

  • @satansprick13 fear factory - soul of a new machine album

  • @satansprick13 check out Skinny Puppy's albums Last Rights, or Too Dark Park.

  • @satansprick13

Nothing really gets heavier than Godflesh. Neurosis comes close (at least in terms of guitar based stuff...as does Khanate), but....the attention the distortion texture has never really been replicated, or even approached.

Later era Skinny Puppy, as mentioned by someone else, is good, if you're willing to deal with no guitars. I'd also recommend Imminent Starvation...youtube search thier song called "Ire". or "teskede" No guitars, but it kicks your ears' ass. : )

  • @Eldeecue Well then I guess your never listend to disembowelment then I take it?

Even more dark and bleaker than Godflesh at the time.

  • @Eldeecue yeah nothing really, cept one of their main influences...swans. yeah, you definatly missed out on that one..

  • Not often every song/tune is worth buying. An exception will be made here!

  • @AttackShipOnFire What I mean is EVERY track is good, rather than 1 or 2 + 8 shit

  • i love this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
