  • Balloon hitting the birthday candles is great.

  • boooogie nights

  • my 2 favorite old rock and roll bands are mr.big and night ranger i loove this song

  • Both great bands...I got to meet Paul Gilbert, years ago...what a nice guy and what a rush that was...to have listened to his music for so many years and then finally get to meet him.

  • Yes Night Ranger coming to Rockband this TUES! I'm so stoked. Finally some good 80's rock!

  • Wow, shame on me for only just finding out about this band due to their announcement as DLC on RB2 next week. This band fucking rocks!

  • Contessa Brewer Know About Breaking Hearts She Try To Shoot & Kill Me.

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!

  • LUV IT!!!!!!!!!

  • Other dude is the baddest. Not Gillis lol.

  • underrated guitar duo. Love the solo.... and the ending which is one of those classic song endings you never forget!

  • WTF?! A video ad before my youtube video?! WTF IS THIS?!!

Related to the actual video: I watched this video to find out if the DLC was worth buying, I'm gonna get it just for the solo! The rest of the song was pretty good too, but the solo cinched it! Awesome!

  • This video made me throw up a little in my mouth.

Song isn't as awful as I remembered it being, though.

  • ROCK BAND NEXT WEEK!

  • Their look may be outdated but the sound is great. Just listen to it without looking at it.

  • I've always loved this song ever since I was little, it's such an amazing tune that it's still even so vibrant today. :)

  • that dude on keyboard is badass

  • no its not

  • How dare you say that. The 80s may have been a goofy ass time but the music was pretty freaking sweet. Bands like Iron Maiden, Night Ranger, Ozzy and others put your claim to shame.

  • Yeah I like iron maiden but for the most part 80s music is terrible, so much cheesy crap was made during that decade

  • it is better rap, that for sure

  • yeah i'll concede to that

  • weell id say better than some not all

  • agreed, nothing like the 80's

  • Not a Rock group today that even comes close to this song. What happened to this style of rock. Todays rock SUCKS!!!!

  • nightranger @ thier best....hell yeah!!!!

  • Great Song! I have lots of well-known, and great unknown hair metal bands on my site. go to:

  • OK does any have a clue where i can get acurate tabs for this song id love to learn it

  • Main rhythm F# to A...

  • I have lots of lesser-known hair metal bands, that still have great songs, on my site. go to:

    (W)(W)(W) . Nick98 . weebly . com thanks

  • I was at Bristol too. Went for REO but Night Ranger blew the others away. 80's rocked and still does.

  • awesome tune......debut album....

  • Sirs Watson and Gillis....priceless!!! Great debut album....back in the day.

  • What happened to Jeff Watson? Did he just leave the band?

  • That fucking solo shreds.

  • Great sound, phenomenal solo's, one of the best rock tunes of all time. The combination of Watson and Gillis is unbeatable. Rock on Night Ranger.

  • Gillis does a hell of a version of "Iron man"

  • just watched these guys in Bristol with STYX and REO Speedwagon. NIght Ranger was the best! hard to believe its been over 20 yrs, and they still nail this song! F'n AWSOME!

  • love this song and band. So good!

  • this is one of the best 80's bands --bar none!! to this day they rock so hard

  • saw them in concert! they were fabulous.

  • brad is the king, what a solo, blowing the doors off, always great to hear, thanks for posting...

  • brad gills is fucking kick ass

  • Does anyone know if that is the drummer that was lowned to Def Leapord upon the tradgik event?

  • @salinagrrrl69 Pretty sure it's not. But FYI Brad Gillis, the guitarist in the red shirt was the guy that Ozzy replaced Randy Rhodes with when he passed to complete tour obligations (Before Jake E. Lee). He was also the guitarist on Ozzy's "Speak of the Devil" album.

  • My dad had a star licks tape of Brad teaching that insane solo... Its hard. Trust me.

  • Rediculous guitar solos!

  • man, that jimmy dean sausage intro is sweet !

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • Now that's what I'm talkin' about! Bone-crunching ROCK!!

  • Great Song...!! :)

  • Just saw them open for Styx on Halloween. They were awesome!

  • i saw them in concert with Journy

  • Cheesy video (just like all 80's vids). But what a sound. I would kill for Brad Gillis' amp settings. True metal here folks.

  • @modanoleht If you like Gillis in Ranger check out his best Randy Rhodes impression on Ozzy's "Speak of the Devil" album. Gillis replaced Randy of his death and before Jake E. Lee

  • Those were the days~~~~ When MTV was REAL and lived up to its name... Jack Blades knows how to ROCK!!!!

  • I'm 41 and I miss these daze

  • if i could only have 25 songs all time this would be one of them---great 80"s song--brings back good times-still rockin in the 417

  • Great Song!!

  • The song rocks!!!!

  • the solo is fuckin badass

  • Tom Hulce Rocks!

  • Just say "Yes, sir! ", sit down, and shuddup.

    Anything else is superfluous. ;-)

  • This is amazing music, I love it!! I had to listen to that solo a few times!

  • I saw them Tuesday night (9/29/09) in Austin where they opened for Journey. They rocked!

  • saw them last night open for journey in oklahoma! hell ya they can still rock EXACTLY like this!!

  • this song brings back some great memories,

the video shows why current artists use high-budget directors and actors in their videos.

  • LMAO your statement so totally shows how homophobic, you seem to be quite fearful, what are you scared of? Possibly your own confused sexuality, the fear you have of thinking you are gay? Hum its rather obvious...and it would be homo(ist) you didn't even get that right.

  • That must have been one fantastic show, lucky you :)

  • WOW... Your stupid! Go turn up your jonas Brothers you fucking Pussy!

  • If you're implying that gay guys have amazing taste in music, then sure, whatever. This song is badass, hence I'm listening to it.

  • I love this song!! I ran into them when I was shopping in Tokyo back in 82, I think. They were really cool. Brad was super friendly and oh man he was HOT!!

  • saw them tonight open for journey. They put on a great show

  • ME TOO! =D

  • I did too!

    Tonight in Oklahoma :)

  • dont sell me your lunch meat, dont sell me your lunchmeat, dont sell it -I DONT WANNA KNOW!!

  • saw them last night in New Orleans, surprisingly, very good. The vocals and sound were great!

  • Awesome song!

  • brad gillis great underrated guitarist spent a couple month with ozzy check out "speak of the devil" of all who played with ozzy his take on those sabbath song are awesome

  • when i saw them in concert i could of swore that his bass was barely playing anything.

  • nice guitar solo, harmonized and beatifull..

  • i saw these guys last night opening up for journey

  • omg me too! they were AWESOME!! so was journey, but that i knew would be awesome

  • dang they rock...

  • I swear do these guys age? I wish I was like them, I got gray hair and a bald spot, while they keep theirs. Well all except Brad Gillis, but his is by choice.

  • LION MARK....

  • I saw these guys on this tour when they opened up for Sammy Hagar on the Three Lock Box tour. There has never been (well, maybe Tesla) two better guitarist in one group. Watson & Gillis are amazing together.

  • Well judas priest and iron maiden may have something to say about that. doesnt brad guillis look like sammy hagars twin here? lol

  • I saw the same concert...I believe it was '82. I met NR..cool guys!

  • speedy love it

  • Love this tune. Absolutely one of the most unique endings of any rock song ever..

  • Funny, I was just thinking the same thing myself. Such an incredible song.

  • Another thing about this is that a lot of these bands bowed to label pressure to start releasing soft-ass shit. Then, lo and behold, their fanbases deserted them.

  • MTV............what happened?

  • What happened was that they found the market was better for warmed-over dance SHIT and a bunch of crackdealers jabbering and hooting to pre-recorded drum loops.

That's what fucking happened and it's one of the greatest tragedies of our time.

  • Contessa Brewer Know How To Use Me & She Came Close To Shoot & Kill Me.

  • 素晴らしいですね

  • Kick-ass solos...Jeff Watson's solo is great.

  • saw Night Ranger in Columbus Ohio the other night. They put on one helluva show

  • BRAD GILLIS! FUCKIN' AMAZING!

Could have achieved bigger success with OZZY but chose to stick with his mates.

  • lots of party balls drank to this song......

  • the best non-love song ever..

and one of the greatest 80s guitar solo!!

  • A Men!!!!!!!

  • The beginning of Jeff's solo is impossible to play like he does. I've tried...it's insane.

  • I'll see you guys Friday!

  • For all of you checking this vid out here are some startling facts.....We were paid $10000 for doing this video for MTV. It was probably what sent us over the top, just in time for Kelly's song SIster Christian. Thank you all for keeping us alive in the 21st century and hope you'll see us live with Journey this fall. Jack Blades. Night RAnger

  • Saw you guys at Disney in '84 at Grad Nite, Great show, thanks for being a memorable part of our lives!!

  • great music...love it

  • かっこええ

  • how many vids in the early 80s had the guitar soloist walking in towards the camera! It was like the only move the directors knew at the time (see ALL Van Halen vids!) :0 This is friggin awesome

  • Anyone like Me ever fell in love with an Image of an on~line lusty looking Loveboy? I must need a Doctor Feel.....UM UM Good!!!

  • Fuck you pussy night ranger is cool as hell.

  • haha! That was the first real concert I have ever been to. other than like 311 or shows at house of blues in hollywood and it was incredible! Nobody solos like that anymore! At all haha!

  • That solo blows me away. I'm into metal / hard rock mostly, but I've gotta say I'm pretty damn impressed. Almost reminds me of DragonForce.

  • except dragonforce=gay, hammeron abuse and nightranger =skill

  • If you like Night Ranger, check out Brad Gillis doing his best randy rhodes immpression on Ozzy's Speak Of The Devil Album

  • Oh man I went to there concert with journey last night and it was an awesome show! =)

  • You got that right, the show in SB was way better than I thought it was going to be. They ROCKED!!!

  • yeah it was the best and they also mixed in highway star right cuz i heard it while i was getting a funnel cake haha!

  • i went to the concert. man, they still kick ass

  • This song would be perfect for Guitar Hero or Rock Band.

  • ROCK ON NIGHT RANGER!!!

  • How bogus that Brad Gillis is on cam for his entire solo, but Jeff Watson is only shown (barely) at the end of his.

  • One of the greatest rock songs - EVER. The best duel lead guitar song and harmony EVER.

  • my band (((Furthest Krueger)))

    Please retrieve it with youtube.

  • i think this song is very awesome

  • The guy in red looks a lot like Sammy Hagar! Just noticed that. This song had kids all over high school beating the hell outa their guitars trying to play the lead in this tune. Dont work like that though...

  • no it came out in 82 u were close.

  • What year was did this come out??? I was heavly sedated these years

  • This came out in the early 80's , maybe '83?

  • '82 it came out

  • Yeah, sometime in the early 80's.

  • ya it is

  • When they're in the train car towards the middle of the song, it seems as though the guitarist (I don't know names) is the only one without a love problem. Great song.

  • Brad Gillis and Jeff Watson play (six string) guitars in this video, Jack Blades plays bass and sings lead...

  • That's because he's the motherfuckin' lead guitarist! We NEVER have trouble getting the girls!... Well, maybe some of us do... :(

  • The ending of this song ROCKS!!!!!

  • I was 15 when this song came out, and it still sounds great today. NR stills rocks. what ya think????

  • The guitar solo (almost extinct in today's music) is what made music awesome from the mid '70s to the early '90s.

  • Guitar solos became common (and popular) in the EARLY '70s, led by guys like Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin and Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple. Those two were responsible for the guitar solo being the meat of the song instead of the drum solo. There were others...Alvin Lee, Robin Trower...and let's not forget Jimi Hendrix...

  • The solo is great. What an awesome band.

  • They just dont rock like this nowdays. I feel sorry for this Disney decides the popular music for you now decade. Peace out...

  • love their guitarist

  • 2:21 how can i do that

or tell me whats the name of the effect

  • 2:25 balloon LMAO

  • Saw them Sat. July 11 at Northern WI State Fair. They should be playing sold out stadiums, not stinking fair grounds. They were incredible.

  • I was there too! They sounded extremely good for a small stage 50 ft from the horse barns. They rocked. Did you hear me yell my response to Jack Blases asking about 'first concerts'?.... OZZY 'Speak of the Devil' - Brad Gillis!! (yes, from Night Ranger)

  • nightranger r awsome especially at the concert at the alemeda county fair on July 3rd, 2009

  • That recently? It must have been such a delight to see this amazing group in action.

  • shame they didnt show watsons 8 finger technique!

  • great band

  • 2:04-2:45...that, kids, is how you play lead guitar. Sad to see that the art of lead playing is in the shitter, what with the state of "music" today.

  • Lead Bass

  • Very true. There was a time when one really took pride in being a real musician.

  • Kick ass song!! The video is cool too and interesting with them all on the train doing different things

  • Lucky assholes!

  • im about to see night ranger this friday i think at the alameda county fairgrounds, its about to kick ass!
