Both great bands...I got to meet Paul Gilbert, years ago...what a nice guy and what a rush that was...to have listened to his music for so many years and then finally get to meet him.
WTF?! A video ad before my youtube video?! WTF IS THIS?!!
Related to the actual video: I watched this video to find out if the DLC was worth buying, I'm gonna get it just for the solo! The rest of the song was pretty good too, but the solo cinched it! Awesome!
How dare you say that. The 80s may have been a goofy ass time but the music was pretty freaking sweet. Bands like Iron Maiden, Night Ranger, Ozzy and others put your claim to shame.
just watched these guys in Bristol with STYX and REO Speedwagon. NIght Ranger was the best! hard to believe its been over 20 yrs, and they still nail this song! F'n AWSOME!
@salinagrrrl69 Pretty sure it's not. But FYI Brad Gillis, the guitarist in the red shirt was the guy that Ozzy replaced Randy Rhodes with when he passed to complete tour obligations (Before Jake E. Lee). He was also the guitarist on Ozzy's "Speak of the Devil" album.
@modanoleht If you like Gillis in Ranger check out his best Randy Rhodes impression on Ozzy's "Speak of the Devil" album. Gillis replaced Randy of his death and before Jake E. Lee
LMAO your statement so totally shows how homophobic, you seem to be quite fearful, what are you scared of? Possibly your own confused sexuality, the fear you have of thinking you are gay? Hum its rather obvious...and it would be homo(ist) you didn't even get that right.
I love this song!! I ran into them when I was shopping in Tokyo back in 82, I think. They were really cool. Brad was super friendly and oh man he was HOT!!
brad gillis great underrated guitarist spent a couple month with ozzy check out "speak of the devil" of all who played with ozzy his take on those sabbath song are awesome
I swear do these guys age? I wish I was like them, I got gray hair and a bald spot, while they keep theirs. Well all except Brad Gillis, but his is by choice.
I saw these guys on this tour when they opened up for Sammy Hagar on the Three Lock Box tour. There has never been (well, maybe Tesla) two better guitarist in one group. Watson & Gillis are amazing together.
Another thing about this is that a lot of these bands bowed to label pressure to start releasing soft-ass shit. Then, lo and behold, their fanbases deserted them.
What happened was that they found the market was better for warmed-over dance SHIT and a bunch of crackdealers jabbering and hooting to pre-recorded drum loops.
That's what fucking happened and it's one of the greatest tragedies of our time.
For all of you checking this vid out here are some startling facts.....We were paid $10000 for doing this video for MTV. It was probably what sent us over the top, just in time for Kelly's song SIster Christian. Thank you all for keeping us alive in the 21st century and hope you'll see us live with Journey this fall. Jack Blades. Night RAnger
how many vids in the early 80s had the guitar soloist walking in towards the camera! It was like the only move the directors knew at the time (see ALL Van Halen vids!) :0 This is friggin awesome
If only that goddamn train would've been faster, they we never would have been subjected to further Night Ranger music, AND Damn Yankees music, too! Damn train!
