@highlander5523 Wrong. They used the GCN and Wii versions. For example, in one area on the GCN, there's a room that is flooded. In the PS2 version there is no water there at all. But it's flooded also on the HD version. And this new HD version looks FAR better than the Wii and GCN. It's easily the best one now. Better textures and models etc.

I have both versions, and they play about the same. Game Cube seems to allow more "Gore" ie (Chainsaw weilding maniacs). Also, I find GC seems to have better graphics. Wii is great, I like the wii-mote implementation. Wii seems to cut the more gorey stuff, as it's trying to keep the "family-can-play" demographic.

The wii version can be played in widescreen and has the additional content of the ps2 version. Graphically the wii and gamecube are the same, maybe a small increase in contrast ratio and so on.

@TheThedawnishere1 It's just the PS2 is a lot more complex, it's almost not worth the effort/cost to bother with it. The same was said by Valve with the PS3 (it being too complex to support, back in 2007).

Problem is they just ported it (didnt change anything except controll scheme) ive played it on the pc and it looks terrible and it shoulld really look the best exspecially on high-end pc's.

@mohammerdrun you do realise the WII uses the same hardware components as the gamecube like its gpu and cpu. its just more amped up with faster clock speeds and more memory. i dont think the wii could even handle god of war. faster console but its gpu sucks even compared to the ps2's. and how old is the ps2?

Nonsense, it could handle GOW if the game was entirely rewritten.
The GC has a better GPU than PS2, better lightning, and it could do a lot of textures per pass meaning it could get work done faster than the PS2, and it had built in texture compression, roughly the same polygon count as PS2, Wii is higher than either.

@mohammedrun no, i know the gamecube is the lesser of the two, from what i recall its on par with the xbox. i wrote the wrong word...i mean to say theyre both the same architecture. thats why gc games run natively without a glitch. its basically an updated gamecube.

wii trust me here... It is compatible with gamecube controller, has more features, has a decent wii remote aiming system but the option to use gamecube aiming instead, has operation ada, has separate ways, comes on 1 disk and that's pretty much it. the graphics are the same.

The wii version is better, is better but only because o the new gameplay with ada. The charachter models look the same to me and the redone textures werent redone well . Ive played both games too. Im not about to buy a wii so I can play RE4 wii version but maybe for that new darkside chronicles game...

from what i can see the only difference between the two isnt graphics, the frame rate is slightly better on the Wii. thats it, i'd play both versions without complaining. love this game!!!

the gamecube one is beter.... on the wii they only consentrate on the graphics even if it isnt such a big diffrence. and on the gamecube it is beter to play with a real controller and not with a fucking remote.... ;D well i found the game... it cost me 30 dollars becouse it is kind of rare to find it these days.... so yeah!! try to find it for gamecube!!!

whoever says that the ps2 version is better should not be a fan of resident evil and is a real big fkn no0b. cause I have have all 4 resident evil 4s on the Wii, gamecube, ps2 and pc. so i think i know better that people that only have the ps2 version.
example:
water on the gamecube is much more detailed and so is the lazer and blood, the sound on the gamecube is 10 times better dont believe test it

wtf it is pretty much the same thing I own it on gamecube it looks better on it than the Wii. I know it is not a glitch but please they need to make the head come off. It is so stupid. Plus it is easier to aim in the gamecube version. so yeah Wii version is bad.
