The Royal Navy has continually seen a plane like an XB-70 air-launch a small shuttle into orbit, the plane identifies itself as Blackstar.

The United States is a benevolent power (overall) and I'd rather have them as the dominant power than some of the alternatives. Sure the US makes mistakes and sometimes ignore its own commitment to human-rights, but overall they still try to do the best the can to maintain these values; just think about the alternative ruthless powers out there that don't have any qualms about 'human-rights' or economic development.

The space shuttle is never going to fly again. it is being RETIRED. the X-37B, while being funded by the US airforce, is a personnel and resource carrier. It carries food and supplies as well as passengers!
It is the REPLACEMENT for the shuttle. A smaller, cheaper flying machine. No guns, just cargo and people.

@Jarrodabitx Actually the X-37 was started in 1999, way before we had shuttle retirement plans. It does not have the cargo of the STS and it is unmanned. By connecting a few dots, I figure this is a replacement for a secret manned US shuttle called Blackstar. The Blackstar Program was canceled in the 1990's, but the Blackstar was most likely transfered. The Royal Navy has continually seen a plane like an XB-70 air-launch a small shuttle into orbit, the plane identifies itself as Blackstar.
