@simmalik detective matthews test wasnt at the same time as the nerve gas house was like jigsaw said. the gas house happened a couple hours before. Jigsaw locked up his son and told matthews that if he talked long enough, he would get his son back. what jigsaw didnt say was that his son was in the safe. mathews fails his test bcuz he threatens jigsaw to take him to the house. his son is released after the timer expires and lives

If any one is wondering if this movie is scary.. It's basically not "scary". It's more if you can handle the gore scenes in the movie, if you watch it with friends as a starter you can sit tight and just... relax, if you are afraid something scary is about to happen, cover your ears, not your eyes, remember that. In my opinion this is my top 3 best Saw movie.

Kinda Intresting fact about saw ii if anyone wants to listen.

In the house at about 51-52 minutes into the movie when the timer goes off and says 300 seconds remaining, the black guy says "well what ever you have done you have three minutes to complete it". 3 minunites is 180 seconds not 300, its a glitch :p

I am guessing that you are confused about detective matthews son being in a safe at the end.. well, you see all the footage that was on tv? that was not live.. it was recorded from before.. so all that time that detective matthews was interrogating John (A.K.A Jigsaw) his son was in the safe the whole time.. jigsaw said that all he had to do to see his son again was to listen for a while..

@thetsap part 2...but he disobeyed and jigsaw knew he was going to threaten him to take him to the house, so he took him there and he looked in the bathroom for his son.. but what he didn't know was that he was walking into a trap.. then amanda arrived and locked him in there.. oh and amanda was the one that brought detective matthews' son to Jigsaw.. because Amanda hates Matthews cos he framed her for something she did not do, and she went to jail.... so yeah.. that's your saw lesson for today!

First of all, Cary Elwes filed a lawsuit against the producers so he won't be in the film. But here's what I feel Saw 2 should have been about: Eric Matthews hunts down Jigsaw but along the way he saves or tries to save the victims of Jigsaw's traps. At the same time Allison Kerry searches for Dr. Gordon on a missing persons case.
