he always sounded so horrible during this phase of their career cause he was always either coked up or numbed by various other drugs. he's still no am,erican idol vocally live but it's nice to see him at least sing on key these days, even though I don't like him and Tony using the name EVE6 without Jon, because without Jon, it is not the same band. so I won't be bothering with the new album when it comes out

@kisscatastrophe I don't see why they can't use the name Eve6 without Jon. Jon opted out when they asked him to come back, they had every right to use the name. Jon Siebels is a cool guy and he's a good guitarist, but he isn't anything unique. He is not an asset to the band, because the band isn't popular because of it's awesome guitar rifts, which are quite simple and nothing special. Eve 6 is my favorite band, I'll miss Jon, but that's all.

@kimchu - .... either way, they busted for personal reasons i believe... when you're a band for so long.. it's like movin in with a chick for 10 years.. when one of you wanna leave... you gonna leave with nothin?... i woulda done something completely fresh.. when something good is about to fail.. based on members not working things out.. or whatever the case maybe... you really should just leave it where it fell.. and have people remember you the organic way.. i always loved this band.

Towards the end of Eve6's career in 2004, Max was burned out. They all were. Their live performances lacked in quality and the band just lost enthusiasm. However, now thet they've reunited they sound amazing live again. I think they just lost their motivation for a little while. I've watched videos and went to many performences from this phase in Max Collins' life and his singing was just not that good at all. I'm glad Eve6 is back together and sounding better than ever.
