  • pretty cool device

  • filteration nation uuuhh

  • i would like it but i cannot hear anything, to much background

  • this is so stupid, even more stupid than a car doing 5mph donuts in a parking lot

    I mean

    ZOMG

  • @Grania72 AWESOME!

  • as a dj u would starve to death

  • @Grania72 as would anyone who djs from an iPod.

  • It's the miniKP

  • May i use it as a vocoder?

  • @EpilepticFreaks a vocoder requires to inputs. one to control the other's frequencies. the mini kp only has one input. i'm sure it has plenty of talkbox filter effects that will very closely mimic the robot talk vocoder sounds, but no, it doesn't. u should still buy one if you haven't. or a kaossilator. :)

  • I don't think this is a Kaoss Pad, it looks like a Kaossilator to me.

  • @ultrafez aaayyyy its called a mini kaoss pad THERE GUY

  • what else is the ipod and the kaoss connected too?

not too bad, slap on some new order!!

  • Will this work with a Zune

  • Hey, so you can plug an ipod into a Mini KP and play the sound through it? Or have you got some other stuff going on up there?

  • @kells003 yes you can. i don't know what the inputs look like on the kp, but as long as you have whatever necessary adaptors/necessary cable you can plug in any sound source directly into the kp to use its live modulation

  • hey um what are the red numbers represent, effects?

  • sry.,.. not with my ears...^^ Bye xD

  • great song ruined by awful effects.

  • i liked it. :}

  • i think ian would have enjoyed this

  • this is fucking stupid

  • @seajist

you know what else is stupid? a car doing 5mph donuts in a parking lot.

but hey, to each his own. am i right folks?

  • you're an idiot. this is good. it's someone just showing the functionality of the product without trying to showcase their songs.

    drrrpp.. :P

  • @seajist Shut your mouth, troll.

  • this is not really that cool why dont you just give me the koss pad

  • i think ian curtis would beat the shit out of you. if, of course, he was alive.

  • @Joe0994 good thing he's dead then huh?

  • @bigbadron for your sake, yes. for the music industry's sake, no.

you seem a cool guy. i like you, i'm glad you didn't come back with some hating comment about how i'm such a n00b etc.

  • @Joe0994 hahhahahahah

  • i was expecting to hear some electro stuff, but then it's joy division...it was fun! Humorous video description!

  • I, for one, find this awesome and entertaining

  • my god ur shit!

  • @Lucas01wesley use adult words and maybe i'll humor your opinion.

  • @bigbadron You are pretty shit.

  • @BlueBajs at least i'm pretty shit, and not ugly shit.

  • @bigbadron Hehe.. WHAT?

  • @bigbadron that was simply epic... bluebajs = troll, bigbadron = epic win

  • love the song!

  • cool how much was the pad?

  • great choice of song mate !

  • nice try ,like it!

    next time filmin

    .might close your fan?

  • If youre trying to show how this works/sounds use a better song.

  • looks like you would get bored of this after a week.

  • @cprostudio

Agreed. The mini-KP Kaoss Pad is a fantastic little box for the price, but needs that its effects are more integrated in the composition, or that it's used live so the source (synth, guitar, whatever) can respond to what the KP does.

  • this may be a dumb question but how do u hook them up? like to what? and all that...sorry im like new to all this and i wanna get a kaossilator

  • well, in the case of this video, the iPod is the input device, being connected with a 3.5mm to rca cable. (red and white cable on left side).

and on the right side, is the out put, also rca.

so in terms of your decks.....

instead of running the master out to speakers, you would run it into the kaos pad, then run the kaos pad output to your amplifiers/speakers.

    i'd draw a picture, but....

  • just get some rca cables, hook the out put of the kaossilator to whatever you want

  • Nice... Joy Division!!!!!

  • can you also use your ipod with the kaossilator?

  • no, the Kaossilator only has an output.

  • does it have idm glich fx

  • does this thing have inifinute delay?

  • theres no thing as infinite delay its called a loop station or a delay effect

  • i still get plenty of enjoyment out of these. i moved up to the KP3 for djing. the Kaossilator and Mini-KP are going to be used in the noise band i'm in.

    usb mixers are for chumps.

  • hah, i was joking dude.

  • hahaha usb mixer are for chumps hahahaha...or for champs i can't wait for some one to come out with a mixer with 4 usbs for i can retire my 2 channel that has every input filled on it in..flipping between the line and usb for my guitar processor feed and a drum machine on the other line is getting old along with the bass plugged into the mic...in need like an 8 channel mixer with 4 usb i/o for traktor

  • and that my live set up...the wires get even crazier at home recording and experimenting with 2 more computers and tons more music toys

  • usb mixer are for chumps. a mixer with 4 usbs for i can retire.

apparently english is also for chumps. :)

  • this is one of those songs wer yous look at your toes and sway side to side XD no dut its a good song

  • this shit is wack. get a kp3

  • got one about 2 months later. the mini-kp is now used for vocals at live shows.

  • does the kaos pad have an internal speaker?

  • no it doesnt have an internal speaker

  • can u plug in headphone to mess around without ppl hearin it n stuff?

  • yup

  • Yes, there is a headphone jack.

  • Too much BG noise.. I can't hear shit :(

  • late at night, fan on, just bought the stuff. just dicking around pretty much.

  • @PsHyCoKill3R really, there is nothing to hear.

  • Looks neat, ohh and up top on the Joy Division

  • hey.

I bought one of these wanting to run my guitar through it (like muse). how would I go about doing that?

    thanks.

  • you would need to find a good guitar luthier or sumamt theres a good one on youtube tomassio22 but its pricey from anyone and the best one to use would be the korg kp2 :)

  • you can also do it without putting a hole through your guitar. See those white and red cables (auxilary) in the vid there? You need 2 of those and ideally have an guitar amp with a 'send - return' function, as most do. You'll need two aux-to-male guitar jack adaptors as well.

  • In the send return loop you have the kaoss pad which you use to mess with the sound of the guitar that you've plugged in normally. The guitar doesnt plug into the kaoss pad, just the amp input. The adaptors are there so that the pad can be plugged into your amps send return loop, as they are different. When you are inputting a sound via the guitar to the amp, that sound can then be messed with by fingering the kaoss pad. I think that made sense...

  • hmm but i use it on my bass beeing it connected to the kaoss pad it self although i was having a problem of not getting sound if kaoss was not on hold mode or if i wasnt selecting an effect, which was cool because i manage to play with one hand, but i was reading manual and i think in the "dir" option this problem is solved.Just tought i'd say this in case he has the problem!btw one question m8, using the send return inputs it also gets the fuzz distorcion right?dumb question i know!

  • ive not got a kaoss pad, but im assuming (based on experience with amps) there shouldnt be any sortof background distortion coming from your send/return loop.... your loop may have a button that allows you to add distortion to it tho

  • BRILLIANT VIDEO

but are you on a train?

  • hah, no. just white noise from my fan.

  • good song choice and what speakers are you using?

  • just my lame surround sound system. the white noise is caused by my fan and open window.

  • can*

  • and you hook up and ipod or computer to the kaoss pad 3?

  • you use a 1/8" jack to dual RCA cable to connect the iPod to the Kaoss pad, then use a dual RCA to something like 1/8" jack or 1/4" jack cable to connect it to a speaker

  • how did you connect your ipod to it? mini jack to phono lead?? if so cna you reccomend where to buy one

  • 3.5mm Stereo Male to Dual RCA Male Y-Cable

you can get them at Wal-Mart or Target for like $5.

  • Hi!

    Sweet video!

Can you connect your iPod to the (yellow) Kaossilator too?

  • sort of, but the kaossilator isnt an effects processor, so it wouldnt work the same.

  • kaossilator is more of a midi controller I guess... Make the beat with the kaossilator then disort with the kaoss mini.

  • kaossilator doesnt have midi, but sort of, yeah

  • Anyone know if the kaossilator would go good with the Roland BOSS Dr. Groove Dr-202 ?? I heard that it would. I'll check some youtube videos after this but any knowledge would be helpfull..I'm trying to build up a little arsenal on toys. I have the Kaoss Pad 2 but yet to put it with my Dr Groove because I been busy and just got my Dr Groove 202 like 3 days ago

  • this is sick.

i just ordered one of those last monday
