They seem to be going down pretty easily. Some of those reaps and sweeps don;t loo that effective yet the guys are falling over like packs of cards. they seem to be offering no resistance.
Only way to train for self defence is against a fully reacting resisting opponent. They have to make you sweat rather than come at you arm aloft in a massively telegraphed movement. Unless its realistic there is no value.
I agree. Unfortunately we all need to go to work the next day so the harder the attack and response, the more creaks and groans the next day. This is of course the age old question, if you dont train full contact how can you be sure you will respond full contact when you need to - I dont know the answer and hope I never need to find out.
Thanks for your comments and for watching my video.
Aye I like that one, I just thought that arm break at the start was a lot of effort. I much prefer the more evil methods of self defense. Throat, groin, pressure points, it's all good :)
Good point. But if you are down low, well balanced and use a punch as a finishing move, you may be less at risk. A stomping kick would be effective, but may also be grabbed.

A nice tip for the one where they grab your lapel is to jab them in the troat. It's really effective and funny to watch. Jab, grab, trow, stamp.

Agree 100%. Also a good technique to grab their throat, hold it, and use that as leverage when you sweep them.
