Hey did you guys know that Lauren was better than Carrie Underwood while being on Idol? Actually Carrie is the worst contestant to be a finalist and win, and look where she is now. This is all according to the rankings on whatnottosing, in which they gave this performance a score of 86. Now, do you really think this was Lauren's best performance?
Carrie is nowhere near the worst to win, what about Taylor Hicks?! And she is even further away from being the worst Top 2 finalist, Blake Lewis and Lee DeWyze are. I agree Carrie was probably the stiffest performer to make the final 2 and win, but she's always been one of the best voices on the show ever. @1990BJK I agree that Blake was one of the worst Top 2 Finalists. But Lee? He was one of the few in his season who actually progressed, showed versatality, and shown connection/emotion when singing, he was like Kris Allen. He and Crystal equally had a amount of great performances. I am not saying you are wrong though, that's you're opinion

Carrie is nowhere near the worst to win, what about Taylor Hicks?! And she is even further away from being the worst Top 2 finalist, Blake Lewis and Lee DeWyze are. I agree Carrie was probably the stiffest performer to make the final 2 and win, but she's always been one of the best voices on the show ever. I like Lauren and she moved on stage alot better than CArrie ever did, but her voice is no comparision to Carrie's

@1990BJK I agree that Blake was one of the worst Top 2 Finalists. But Lee? He was one of the few in his season who actually progressed, showed versatality, and shown connection/emotion when singing, he was like Kris Allen. He and Crystal equally had a amount of great performances. I am not saying you are wrong though, that's you're opinion

This young girl is only 15 and she is better than 21 y/o Carrie was while on Idol. Her voice is booming - much like that of Martina McBride. She sang "Unchained Melody" at age 13 and actually sang the high note, which Lauren dodged even in the STUDIO recording. Saying that this mediocre girl is better than Carrie Underwood is a joke. She hardly has any range at all. Carrie would BLOW HER OUT OF THE WATER at any age, on her worst day, and on Lauren's best.

But regardless, Carrie's IDOL vocals blow Alaina's out of the water too. Hell, even at age 13, Carrie was belting and singing notes that Lauren couldn't even DREAM of. Lauren's vocal range is extremely limited, and you can ALWAYS hear when she's at the top of it. For example, her cover of Carrie's "Flat On The Floor," which is vocal CHILD'S PLAY for Carrie.
