  • their are a great number of FILIPINOS in our country that want to learn this art.. sad part is they dont know anyone in the martial arts wold to get in contact with... I first came here and im a FILAM by the way. i had a hard time finding FMA instructors.. I had to go online and look at forums and read youtube video comments to find that they practiced in Luneta Park...Sigh* fml

  • MABUHAY ang MGA ESKRIMADOR O NG Tanang DOCE Paris labi na sa akong MASTER EDRING ,,, BHELMAR NI MASTER IMONG DECIPOLO,,, PEPITO......

  • @macmaccanonoy19 shoulda asked them about arnis or kali or have given the other names of fma then theyll know.. i met people who dont know kali or escrima but know arnis.. vice versa

  • @macmaccanonoy19 what makes it long is the fact that only a few filipinos care about there country. just like black people in america.

  • As a foreigner learning the art, I would say it is something all Filipinos should be bursting with pride about. It has inspired me to learn more about the culture and people who originated such a fantastic system: it is making friends, not enemies!

  • @macmaccanonoy19 - everything takes time bro. soon people will wake up once they realize that the only way to come to our senses is when foreign intervention inside our own soil is nothing more than a facade to keep us poor & weak... there's an old American saying that goes - "THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS IS A WEAPON AGAINST TYRANNY"... I hope U keep that in mind brotha...lolz... stay safe & keep our FMA alive...

  • @macmaccanonoy19 - the solution is to make this a requirement in our high school & college levels of academics with a variety of programs of different styles. the student can pick & choose which FMA art they want to learn, that way we as a people can preserve it. much more so, now that we are in the high tech information age! so don't tell me our art is dying bcoz we can still make a way for it to spread here in our own country! if our asian neighbors can do it, why can't we?

  • @macmaccanonoy19 - that's bcoz the support from our local govts. was weak. it's mostly only in the Visayas that Kali or Arnis was being practiced. in the 40s & 50s up to WW2 eskrima was already being shown in our country. it was just breifly abrupted bcoz we were westernized by the Americans so local knowledge about our art was set aside for a moment. but now that it is our national sport & martial art! i'm from Luzon I practice Arnis de mano with my Ifugao friends in the mountain province!

  • @macmaccanonoy19 - our ART IS NOT DYING BRO! it needs to spread into our country that's all it needs to do. our population is 92 million strong, and if all would just join hands together both locally, nationally & academic wise sponsored by well informed local leaders & general populace, then it will still spread just in our own country! just like the Korean wave.. look how it took over the asian scene & i don't even understand what these bozos are singin about! lolz..

  • @macmaccanonoy19 - YEAH RIGHT! LEST THE FOREIGNERS TURN AROUND AND BETRAY US WITH OUR OWN ART!!!

  • @pinoyblues69 nangongorek k p di ka rin naman marunong. kung eskrimadores o di parang spanish naman yan sows. dapat "mga eskrimador". learn your language bago ka mangorek.

  • if it's an art that we use against foreign invaders, then why do we keep teaching it to foreigners??? what an Ironic twist hey??? lolz...

  • @kenshin9518 This art is made for combat. The art originated to be used in battles to fight off foriegn invaders. The stick is used because if you use a sword then chances of killing someone is very high. Back in the day, duel to the death are made just using sticks. So killing someone is possible. Have you tried getting hit with a stick by an eskrimador in the head? With one solid blow in the temporal, being hurt is really just an understatement. You could end up paralized or worst dead.

  • They Are True EskrimadOrs & They Came Fr0m CEBU .! . They ALL Masters Of Eskrima Noun As DOCE`PARIS ,DOCE PARIS MEAN Twelve`Fair . .& i`m Proud That The DOCE`PARIS wAs BORN Her iN Cebu`Philippines . & im Proud That I`m A CebuanOs . .Before This Not a Sport Her In Cebu ,They Used The SkiLLs tO Kill Since 1630 wEn tHe Spanish Arrive Her in Cebu ,But yEars Fasten By .They Make This SkiLLs A Sports Her In Cebu & The Other Country . & im Proud That this SkiLLs ARe Used iN The Other Country .

  • the plural of eskrimador should be "eskrimadores"... "eskrimadors" sounds too anglicized (English)

  • I know this is SOO offensive, but I REALLY couldn't help but laugh when he said "Me and my brothers were told that we were born with a stick in our hand"

    hahahahahahhahahaha...sorry..sorry

  • @MSYTManagementCenter ....well said, sad to say young generation today dont know what is it, government should help to rebuild this.

  • we should love escrima, because this is a real filipino martial arts

  • filipino people really loves fighting

  • @kenshin9518 fighting maybe, killing, yes

  • @copypacercopypacer killing huh! well thats toooo extreme!hee

  • @kenshin9518 not really

  • @copypacercopypacer why not? it is reaally too much.maybe hurting, yes

  • @kenshin9518 hurting is too little, killing is little
